Long live the physical media flesh.
Mmmmm…. Flesh.
Anybody played Ghosts of Tsushima? This may be the open-world game I'm looking for. I kept away from it because I initially thought it looked like a Dark Souls clone.
I've watched twitch on it, and it totally looks like my jam.
Marvel's Midnight Suns jumped to the front of my most anticipated games.
Sounds great.
New Saints Row game, Feb 2022. This is some great news. Love this series.
the trailer doesn't allow embedding ... weak ...

Vacation gaming!
The Demon's Souls remake really lets the game shine. It's well down my list of favorite souls games, but I've had a great time digging into it more than ever before as I attempt the platinum. Only thing left is world/character tendency events which are cool for that added bit of depth, but also far too obscure even for fromsoft. I also accidentally killed a friendly NPC (Ostrava, and it was total BS) so that set me back in my attempt at pure white. So that game is in the penalty box at the moment.
Reached the first "real checkpoint" in Returnal by beating the third boss. Just a fucking good video game. It's pretty much what Housemarque has always done, but bigger, better, more expensive, and a rouguelite. It'll never become an all-timer for me or anything, but as a raison d'etre for the PS5 right now it satisfies.
Rocket League is still great. I haven't played it in at least a year, but it's kinda like riding a bike. Instant fun, especially online 2v2 with a competent friend.
Also played about a quarter of the new co-op game It Takes Two, from the makers of The Way Out and Brothers. Pretty nifty stuff. Good platforming. We had a good time, but I have found I have very little tolerance for cut-scenes... Still, something solid to play with someone else (even if they're not much of a gamer) where you really need to work together for the most part, but also have small opportunities to "out-play" each other.
Lastly, I've had this morbid curiosity about Pathologic 2 for a while now. It's currently on sale in the PS store, so I pulled the trigger. Very mixed reviews, but something tells me it has the chance to be a home run. Either that or I'll play it for 30 mins and never touch it again.
PSN shit the bed while I was making my way back to a save point in The Surge after making huge progress.
For fuck's sake.
Nickelodeon has a Smash Bros. style game coming out. Here's the roster:
[]
I'll almost certainly never play the game, but if I did... Definitely picking Zim first, then Oblina. I'd miss someone from Doug (Roger or Skeeter?). Also seems weird to not include Angry Beavers or Rocko's Modern Life. Never even heard of The Loud House, but that's an age thing I suppose.
Powdered Toast Man better be the most dominant.
Guessing there would be DLC for the remaining Ninja Turtles and probably addition of Rocko's Modern Life (picturing Mr. Bighead) and Quail Man to represent Doug.
Quail Man, of course! Brilliant.
If it gets good reviews I'll totally check it out. That character roster appeals to me much more than Smash Bros.
Anyone else going to check out Death Loop?
Def have my eye on Death Loop. Arkane is a great developer. Not a day one buy for me, however, because I want to learn "how the game works" a little more. I expect the reviews to be good, but a let's play or two after release will help me choose.

Apparently automotive production is being hit hard because of it.
I wanted to buy a new desktop this summer, but the price of graphics cards is completely nuts at the moment for the same reason. Guess my old beast has got a bit more work to do.
Looks like Alan Wake Remastered is coming October 5.
badass! Thanks for sharing.
Wolverine could be darn cool.
I wonder if it'll be like Spider-Man mapping, but perhaps in Canada with the Alpha Team? Either way, it's about time that Wolverine got his own game, rather than just an arcade version of him just slicing and dicing.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
