I'll at least lobby for a movie. That is, if the writers are indeed that stupid to end the final season on a cliffhanger.

It's got a scheduled release of February 7, 2013. There's no real reason to think that's not going to happen, other than paranoia. It's hard for me to imagine this version of the show will be very good, but if it's going to have any more renewals, being reintegrated into the Thursday lineup will be better than the earlier-planned Friday schedule.
NBC isn't stupid enough not to air them. And it may very well not be stupid not to renew, depending on how this season pans out ratings and quality-wise.
Yeah, let's just wait until we see this season before we decide whether we even want the show to continue.
Considering the show's creator and primary creative force Dan Harmon has been forced out of the show, the majority of the show's writers have left, and the Russo brothers have pulled out as well, it's really nigh on impossible to believe that this could ever be the show I loved again, and I doubt many people will want it to go on. I think Community is clearly a show where authorship matters, and despite all his antics, Harmon was the show's auteur.
Jim Rash has written a screenplay and Megan Ganz wrote the finale, so I guess that's more promising than it might have been, but still.
You know, I just realized while viewing Spaced recently that had Spaced been on American TV Community's fate would have been its fate. That really depresses me.
Spaced had 14 episodes over two seasons and Community has 71 over three seasons, another in the can waiting to air, and still hasn't been cancelled.
What is depressing you?
The possible lack of resolution. Spaced ended great with closure, something I'm not expecting Community to have.
End of season 3 of Community has a pretty great sense of closure for still leaving the possibility of more open. Has nothing to do with American TV vs. British TV. Has everything to do with what the writers want to do.
I like the idea of a big knowing cliffhanger as the series finale. Done right, it could be a blast. Community is a big, broad, funny cartoon, and I don't need these characters to have closure - I want to see another tweak on the formula of making a TV show.
The fact that Scrubs had that season 8 conclusion is a lot like the season 3 conclusion of Community. Sure we get some episodes after but they're a little different and it just shows us that these people live on after Happily Ever After. It's definitely not going to be as special, it'll basically just be a different show with people we love.
Just saw Danny Pudi in an episode of Gilmore Girls and it was completely disorienting to not hear his Abed voice.
Bought tickets for the Harmontown tour.
Reminder, this comes back next week!
The clips I've seen weren't very promising (yeah yeah, being a naysayer), but these things rarely look good out of context. I still can't believe pop culture-wise we've gone from My Dinner With André & Goodfellas to Hunger Games.
The only positive with out-of-context dumbness shown in the trailers is the admittedly awesome garish costumes that the Dean and Annie will inevitably end up wearing. Otherwise, I'm basically wishing that the series had been cancelled at this point.
And of course, the idiot cynic who I'm forced to tolerate has told me he's already seen the season premiere, and says they've turned the show into The Big Bang Theory. He's also told me he already saw Star Trek Into Darkness. . .seven months before its premiere. So take it with a grain of salt.
Still, the anxiety is killing me. LESS THAN 24 HOURS REMAIN
The writers did an AMA on reddit about the new season, and my hopes couldn't be any lower. I'll still watch though, because I just have to and all that.
Hey at least we'll always have Season 2, which is one of the most glorious seasons I've viewed in quite a while (in terms of shows still on the air, that is).
Anyways unless this season is a complete waste I'll buy it on DVD just like I did with the other three.
comes off like a whiny ass baby
Harmontown is a pretty great podcast. His constant antagonizing of NBC is hilarious.
Donald Glover will be in less than half of Community's new season: http://www.vulture.com/2013/07/donal...ason-five.html
Five episodes??? Maybe I don't need to catch up this summer.
I'm pretty sure he's wanted to leave since before last season, so not shocking but still disappointing.
He's been wanting to leave for a while, yeah. His music career has been gaining a lot of traction since he released Camp. I think the only reason he's even doing the 5 episodes is that he feels bad about it.
