Luis Ospina (1949-2019), Colombian filmmaker, part of the Cali group known as Caliwood. He made two fiction feature films (Pure Blood and Breath of Life) and a huge number of documentaries of various lenghts, a lot of them about subjects related to filmmaking.

I don't like that he's described as "character" actor in headlines announcing his passing...its like he's in a lesser class or something? It would be fine to describe him that way in the obit, but in the title feels odd. Maybe I'm just nit picky.

In recent years he became known for all the wrong reasons, a.k.a. awful comments about rape and politics and the surfacing of a couple of old stories about statutory rape, as well as the analysis of one of his old lyrics which was about beating up an unfaithful girlfriend.
