I don't think he's witty enough. Still want Fillion.Quote:
The frontrunner for the role for Nathan appears to be X-Men star Hugh Jackman. "Jackman is who I'd like to see. I think the producers would like to see Jackman too, because he has that tough guy exterior," North explains. But, Jackman can bring more than just muscles to the character. "There's also a lot going on behind his eyes. A lot of emotion and sensitivity on that brusque exterior, and he has great comic timing."
Is it me, or Hugh Jackman got the Nicholas Cage curse? Doing one bad movie after the other... =/
Um, whoa. David O. Russell will write and direct this film.
His action scenes in Three Kings were pretty darn good.
I have to agree with Duke - this role seems tailor-made for Nathan Fillion.
Then again, I love the guy so much, there are few roles I wouldn't watch him in.
This is fabulous news. More and more classy directors are lining up to helm game adaptations these days and it won't be too long now before the first great one turns up. Then Hollywood will analyze to see how it was done, what was omitted, what was embellished, expanded upon and suddenly there'll be a blueprint for how to do them justice.
I'd usually be wary of this, but with him signing on to write as well? Hmm... Perhaps this one will actually stick.
I know nothing of Uncharted, but I hear it's a must play.
Won't be surprised when Mark Wahlberg is cast as the star.
For what it's worth, Fillion wants the role pretty badly.
I love Fillion, but I don't think he's right for the part. He's too much goofball, not enough badass. Wahlberg isn't right either though, for the opposite reason.
I always thought Nathan Drake as a goofball when playing the game. He doesn't really come off as this ultimate badass.
He has snappy one-liners, but I've never seen him as a goofball.
He certainly can be. I don't know, he's too suave for Fillion. Maybe badass was the wrong word.
Leo and Marty
The characters like clearly modeled on Fillion, so is weird someone would say he wasn't right for the part.
Fillion would be cool methinks, but how does anyone feel about Timothy Olyphant?
Not witty enough.
Some possible news:

Wahlberg might play Drake. And Russell wants Pesci and De Niro to reunite in his adaptation.
How spectacularly odd. Ain't got nuttin' against the Berg, but I'd rather see another actor. I guess De Niro looks like Sully:

Please don't let it be Wahlberg. Or Olyphant. They've already had one shot each and we all know how that turned out.
We all know it should be Channing Tatum.
