So is Taika the first to be in the Marvel Extended Universe and DCEU?
I just want to see John Cena's character survive to the end.
Well him, Sean Gunn, and Michael Rooker are all in this, so all three would be making the jump at once. ;)
I will say though, of those 3, Taika’s the most surprising. Sean is James’ brother, and they just killed off Rooker’s character, but I sorta figured Taika was too ingrained in the Marvel goings-on to make such a jump right now.
Edit: also Idris Elba, who also just got killed off in the MCU. So that makes 4. :p
You make it seem like you can't co-exist between franchises.
Josh Brolin was cable and Thanos.
Ryan Reynolds was Green Lantern and Deadpool.
Henry Cavile is apparently being courted to play Wolverine.
Hmm. Quick Google Search found this.
Henry Cavill as Wolverine is awful.
Jeffery Wright as commissioner Gordon in the new Batman movie.
Love it.
Hell yeah.
Rumor of Jonah Hill as the Riddler. Not quite as keen on that one, but I'll see it before judging.
Jeffrey Wright would be terrific. But he's terrific in anything.
I’m curious. We’ve all pretty much agreed that the notion that violent video games incite real life violence is bullshit, right? And before that, the notion that rap or heavy metal music was inspiring youths to go out and enact violence was also seen as being quite ridiculous. And for years we’ve held a similar stance as it regards violence as depicted in movies and TV.
So then, why the hell are so many people now suddenly convinced that a movie about a goddamn cartoon comic book villain is gonna bring on mass hysteria and waves of violence? And to the point where some are apparently trying to get the military involved?
And I see so many of the same people who openly scoffed at the notion of gaming causing real life violence now suddenly in the camp that we should be wary of the freaking Joker movie? Like, what?? Help me understand these leaps in logic, because the closer we get to the movie’s release, I keep seeing more and more articles and such popping up on this topic, and I can’t even wrap my head around the sheer craziness of it all. :\
The craze behind the Joker movie is pretty hilarious in so many different ways.
Do some research, TGM. If you would, you would find it eerily amazing how significant dates in art correlate to acts of violence.
Movie camera invented 1893, boom, World War I.
Television sets invented 1927, boom, World War II.
4-D Theaters invented 1984, boom, Donald Trump becomes president.
Its a well documented fact that before art, the earth was known as Eden, and it was really cool, the animals could talk like in Narnia, everyone was butt ass naked, and no one ever died ever. Totally rad. #ResearchFlatArt
No no no.. Skitch. You got it all wrong. Religion destroyed the Earth.

Fake news.
Well, those people are idiots, right?
Mind you, I don't think art can't be used as fodder or justification for violence. That has obviously always happened one way or another. But you can't blame the artist when for so many people it can be just harmless catharsis. Aristotle liked catharsis. Well, and probably child buggery as well, but let's just stay with the catharsis bit.
Wasn't it the Crow that was blamed for Columbine because they wore leather trench coats? Yes, the mentally unstable can be affected by art, also, eleventy billion people didn't shoot up schools because of a comic book movie. Shout out to them.
Its further proof of an unstable mind to suggest we should cancel an art because a couple people (out of every person on Earth who has ever seen that movie) had an emotional allergic reaction to a live action cartoon.
If we're going to entertain such notions, than cancel the world, we should all be locked in our homes at all times to protect ourselves from all things. Ban outside.
