This looks like a generic PG-13 horror movie.
Is the original cast not involved?
Several in the original cast are involved. May be extended cameos or may be involved in the full second half of the movie, after the kids start throwing out proton pack energy around town.
Extremely weird they wouldn't advertise against that in the first trailer.
I love the new Avatar.
I've seen people on twitter arguing over the trailer and I can't understand why.
One of the more surprising aspects of the last 10 years of pop culture bullshit is discovering how heavily invested some folks are in this boring non-franchise.
I've been surprised by this as well. I mean, I know it has its fans, but the vitriol is wild. I dig all three films so far, but not with any passion I would even banter with anyone about pro or con. Theyre fun and harmless.
This franchise should just be ended like the Alien and Terminator franchises. Anything that comes in the future will only taint what existed before.
That looks fine.
The real question, tho: is Irish gonna compare these to porgs? Favorably or unfavorably, it's really all up in the air.
Why are they playing this so straight? I would like to see some jokes please.
I think it looks cute. It seems to me the paranormal shenanigans are more in line with G1 than G2.

Rudd seems like a natural fit for the universe.
Just...please no cgi ghost of Harold Ramis. Let's just not.
I'm lazy. Someone make a 2021 entry for this please so I can trash it.
Yeah someone make a post so I can offer mild but earnest praise. Hell I'll do it myself here.
This is kind of great actually. Better written and acted (Coon and Grace are wonderful) than I expected. Didn't go in looking for dramatic heft; didn't expect it to work well for me. Consistent hum of humor that mostly works, but works quietly--not really a lot of giant guffaws here. The cameos [] are fun if short. It was perhaps inevitable that they would sorta semi-remake the first GB movie here with regard to the Greatest Hits beats. What surprised me, though, was how the lamest and most lukewarm part was actually when []. Your mileage will vary tremendously with []. If they want to spin this off into a new chapter of movies, stick with the youths and don't let Coon and Rudd go.
I'll do one better...
Everything the Red Letter Media guys have been complaining about since The Force Awakens. Their review doesn't disappoint. Mckenna Grace innocent tho! She's great!
