If this was Meg we are talking about I may lean more to this stance, but a monster movie that takes itself this serious, with this dark and gritty tone, you'll end up with Batman v Superman results, which is exactly what we got.

At first I thought you were talking about me when you said “if this was Meg we were talking about”.
I was like “gee, thanks a lot Duke”.
lol
I totally read it that way too hahaha
Dunno about you all but I can't wait to see these big guys wreck shit
We just have different perspectives on the whole ordeal and we've gone round and round on it a dozen times. Lets just get back to loving or hating Godzilla. Sorry I attempted a joke. I'm on vaca for first time in 4 years.
Duke, did you like "Pacific Rim" or its sequel?
Curious if you have a problem with the entire genre of giant things beating the shit out of other giant things or just this specific implementation of it.
I stand with Duke on this one. I like all sorts of giant monster films including Pacific Rim but the 2014 Godzilla is lifeless and stoic, filled with pretentious Nolan-isms.
Godzilla 2014 is better than any Marvel movie so far.
Pacific Rim was one of the biggest disappointments of the decade.
A movie about giant robots fighting giant monsters had no business being so boring.
