It's seriously weird to see complaints... Chrome has worked like a charm on every bucket of bolts I installed it on. Even on my Atom N270 netbook downclocked to 800MHz it works like a charm. Also, it does close processes, eternity. It just has separate ones for every tab, but also every extension and plugin. You guys must have some weird setups.
Sure doesn't work for me.
Download Google Chrome.
I downloaded the installer, and then used that to install it on my system.
And it doesn't work.
Tried that, Duke, and, le sigh...

Exact same problem.
So you downloaded it?? BUt it doesn't display sites?
Da heck.
I might know what's wrong.
What version does it say you have?

Never really had an issue with Firefox either. Chrome just works faster for me.
I had to do a full system overhaul anyways, so I installed Windows 7 and Chrome.
Chrome works now, though I'm finding it quite slow with downloads and stuff like YouTube.
OK, so I am giving it a shot and it does seem to work very smoothly, but a huge drawback is that it doesn't seem to have WYSIWYG enabled, at least for vBulletin sites. I hate seeing the bbCode tags.
I prefer seeing code when editing.
I'm starting to see the problems megladon8 had seen. Chrome hangs when trying to contact some third party web site that is linked from the site you are trying to connect to - like facebook or some ad site.
I suspect this is a deliberate attack on Google's Chrome by Facebook.
No, the problem wasn't with connecting to the Facebook site - it was connecting to some other site that itself connects to Facebook - you can see on the bottom left the site it's trying to connect to and it was hanging on the Facebook connection - so many sites connect to Facebook nowadays it's like a virus. Anyway, I deleted all my Browsing Data and now it works fine - it was probably reading an old Facebook cookie that I now deleted.
The new Print Preview function in Chrome 13 is all different kinds of win.
Ah you're using Beta. I stick with the official release.
