I'd be more open to a theory that Road Warrior takes place after Fury Road than the feral kid one. Also, he eats dog food in Road Warrior, the lizard didn't note anything to me except to show how desperate for food they are.

The feral kid theory is such a weird reading of the film. A film where all the other characters arc's are about regaining their humanity also has it's protagonist's climactic moment be claiming to be someone he's not.
Miller apparently done with Mad max movies.

Above is consistent with what I remember too, which is that they had enough material for at least two more flicks.
Rumor today is there's a prequel in the works focused around Furiosa
Are there are two “Fury Road” sequels in the works?

Weird interview because both questions and answers sound as if they were written by a publicist.
The sequels aren't news because Miller talked about them during the run-up to the Oscars in 2015. And said the same things then as now: Furiousa, blah blah, we already have 2 scripts written, blah blah blah.
But then he went and sued Warners and it went to shit.
I mean Fury Road against all logical expectations not only was released but filmed in the first place so I feel like anything's possible.
So is the sequel moving forward? https://link.hollywoodreporter.com/v...b.gah/60966e68
I read somewhere that the reason why they were not casting Charlize Theron because they weren't impressed by the de-aging technology used in the Irshman. That seems like a copout.
Did they see Captain Marvel??
That's actually encouraging rather than a copout. Charting their own course rather than jumping on the de-aging bandwagon.
Even if it was flawless, why even bother? Do a good hard search for a good actress who's a good fit for Theron and surely that's the way to go.
I'm fine with recasting. People need to get over actors being slavishly tied to a role (not pointed at you duke, or Marvels de-aging, I thought it was better than Irishman).

Probably more suited to the Unpopular Opinions thread, but deaging is a gimmick that is more trouble than its worth.
