User spamming PMs?

I just got a spam/advertising Private Message in Vietnamese from a user named phmyn795.

He doesn't have any posts. I have put him on ignore, but I thought I'd let the mods know.

Is this really a viable sales technique? Don't people realize this just makes everyone hate you? Must be some money to it I guess, or they wouldn't bother.

Damn spammers. They should all be destroyed.
