No GoT next April showrunner's confirmed.
Will be much later in 2017 due to needing to shoot during the actual winter.
That really screws up my viewing party.
Probably not. They talking about "Sotherners" all the time when talking about King's Landing. It's like our Florida.
"Bran trippin'."
Some will grumble, but this is good news in my opinion. It means that they are sticking to their outline and not being forced to create filler for the sole purpose of milking the length of the series. They probably also have some effects-laden scenes coming up that will cost a lot of money and fewer scenes with pairs of people walking through courtyards.
Side note: I've been re-reading Clash of Kings and noticed that Martin makes a point more than once of mentioning Melisandre's ruby necklace. It's one of those things that you don't really notice at first, but which now seems possibly important.
I imagine those six episodes of Season 8 will be quite densely packed.
Shoot, there will be at least two battles for seven of the episodes I figure. The taking of King's Landing in probably the second or third episode, and the taking of the Wall as the finale most likely?
Ha. There's a legit betting site that has who will Arya kill first next season, who's the first overall death in the season, and who will be the final leader in the show.
Jaime Lannister has the best odds to die first, then a White Walker.
Arya is to kill either Thoros of Myr or Beric Dondarrion apparently.
