The International Submarine Band - Blue Eyes
Magical Power Mako - "Look up at the Sky"
The first half of this album (s/t) is meh, but halfway through it becomes nonstop awesome.
Stan Getz and Astrud Gilberto - Corcovado
Susumu Yokota - The Colour of Pomegranates
James Blackshaw - "The Cloud of Unknowing"
Damn, this guy knows how to pluck some strings. Most of this is purely instrumental with nothing but a 12-string guitar, yet the sound is as rich and deep as an orchestra. Beautiful stuff.
Bill Callahan - "Honeymoon Child"
Stacked Actors-Foo Fighters. Hardcore, head banging good tune-age that is also my favorite track off their album There Is Nothing Left to Lose. The album is pretty solid, but I feel that the band is better at fast paced, hard rock/grunge than they are at softer power ballads although they have a few slower songs that are good. I really like the band as a whole though, and I want to get my hands on The Colour and the Shape especially.
Tindersticks - Another Night in
Chromatics - "I want you love"
Heh, I just listened to this album for the first time earlier today. It's not bad, but no song is as good as "Hands in the Dark" or "In the City", both of which they for the After Dark compilation. If you like IV, be sure to check that one out. It's a similar style across the board, but more consistnent and it has Farah's "Law of Life" which will haunt your dreams.
Michael Jackson - P.Y.T.
Spinal Tap - Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight
Strange Days-The Doors. More psychedelic brilliance from a great band. I like the guitar work more so than the organ parts on this piece. Especially the short solos that are inter-worked into the song.
Low - Lift
Jay Reatard - "Fading All Away"
Tarentel - "All Things Vibrations"
Dan Deacon - "It's My Fault" (Beavis and Butthead sample)
Holy Fuck - "Super Inuit"
Clint Mansell - Xibalba
'Nother good choice and great band name. Just found out I'll be seeing these guys live in February when they open for Super Furry Animals. Should be a fun show even though I'm not the biggest SFA fan.

Shugo Tokumaru - "Parachute" (the overly-precious but fitting music video)
Uh, indeed. Only two songs in, but this album's already looking like a possible contender for pop album of the year if it keeps up.
Sally Shapiro - I'll be by your side
Behold the Temple of Light - Pink Floyd, live in Amsterdam '69
Great stuff. Probably the basis for a lot of modern post-rock. It sounds so different than most of the other Floyd stuff.
