It's incredible to think that I've been listening to these albums for 20 years.

1989 is one of my favorite years for music.
it seems for the last couple of eras that the last year in a decade has always been incredibly fruitful.
69: monster movie, contact, led zeppelin I, in the court of the crimson king, abbey road
79: unknown pleasures, london calling, entertainment!, metal box, fear of music, this heat
89: (aforementioned), "i", disintegration, ecstasy and wine, doolittle
99: i see a darkness, vision creation newsun, the soft bulletin, slow riot for new zero kanada ep, 69 love songs,
and so far this year is going fairly handsomely
Let's not forget Galaxie 500's On Fire.

I got into Faith No More not too long after '89. By '91 at least.
And Like a Prayer has some songs I still really love. "Oh Father", "Dear Jessie" and the title track.
