Well I'm glad you're not pissed at me over the wage discussion. It's not my intention to personal attack you. And I'm sorry if it came across that away.
I've worked retail. I did not enjoy it.

Well more sources claim

I finally beat the Returnal boss that I've been stuck on for almost 2 weeks.
Got to a new world where almost every enemy is close to dishing out 1 shot kills.
Jesus.
However, I think reports of the game taking too long to beat in one sitting may be exaggerated. Immediately after defeating the second boss, I got a piece of gear that allows me to skip entire sections of the first world, as well as bypassing the second world entirely.
Sony buys Returnal studio Housemarque
It's about damn time.
Will this help or hurt the chances of them continuing to charge 90 dollars for 40 dollar games?
Does anyone else play SMITE? I'm addicted to that, Cuphead and Mario Golf: Super Rush at the moment.
Oh shiiiiiiiiiit.
Remake of Soul Reaver coming!
Oh, I forgot to share... This is what I've been working on before I was let go. My wife actually edited this gameplay trailer together.https://youtu.be/_v1YyGBwgTY
Duke - some cool news.
Was listening to the GB podcast and Jeff Grub was on.
He said the murmuring he has heard about the upcoming Dead Space thing is that it is an RE2 remake type of thing, tackling the entire original trilogy.
I know you’re being glib, but IMO a good game is a good game and worth whatever price. While doing no homework whatsoever, I feel like Returnal is the studio’s first full-price game and it looks like one to me. Pretty sure I paid $20 each for alienation, super stardust, and resogun.
Yes, I'm being glib.
But even though I am more or less enjoying Returnal, it is not a $90 game.
It's not deep at all, it's incredibly repetitive, the environments are devoid of anything really going on.
The graphics that are there look great and it runs smoothly.
But comparing Returnal at $90 to Ratchet & Clank and RE8 which are both $80...I'm not sure why they decided it was worth more.
Its way too early to remake Dead Space. Those games still look incredible. I don't see what they could do outside of upgrade from 1080p to 4k (meh).
Anyone have any game genres they just cannot get into?
For me it's survival games.
I've tried several highly regarded ones (Don't Starve, Darkwood, Stranded Deep, The Forest, Minecraft) and the only one that had any lasting power for me was Darkwood because of its horror angle, but even that I only got about 6 hours out of before I got sick of it.
Weird coincidence. A buddy of mine and I just started playing DayZ after 7 years when we last played. And we are pretty into it. The game has come a long way and though the zombie aspect is annoying, the PvP and survival aspect is much more terrifying.
I also am a huge fan of the Subnautica series.
As for games I can't get into, definitely battle royale and moba. I've had a run at pretty much every other genre that exists.
Subnautica looks and sounds amazing, but the only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger is knowing it's a survival game.
I love watching people play games like Skyrim and Fallout, but I am fuck bad at them. I'm also fairly decent at Final Fantasy games exactly right up to that point where "don't cross this line to the third act until you're leveled up enough because there is NO turning back", and I ALWAYS cross that line unknowingly and am totally fucked for the rest of the game. Still haven't beaten a FF. I crossed that line in 7, 8, 9, and 10.
