Quote:
Sag-Nasty is the nickname for the post-industrial, mid-Michigan rust-bucket town of Saginaw.
You're welcome.

And to think you wanted to leave, KF.
This trend of inviting guys to baby showers has to stop. Now.
That used to be my view every morning during my commute. And it stretched for miles. It looks even worse now, with massive shopping plazas completely empty and falling apart. Luckily, I moved about 15 miles outside of Saginaw in February, so I rarely have to be exposed to this side of things anymore.
Yikes. That's so depressing.
I always assumed your Michigan looked like my Michigan

Aw, googling that made me all nostalgic.
Nope. Aside from Detroit, I grew up in the worst possible section of the state. Even worse off than Flint. I make it sound worse than it was for us, as my parents were always well to do and we lived in a really nice area, but all of that poverty and crime wasn't far away, and the older I got, the closer it moved to where we lived. We've had close to ten cars broken into in our own driveway, tires slashed while out and about, one attempted break-in of our home, my neighbor had their home burglarized, a man down the road from us was shot seven times by a gang member, etc. I've been dying to get out, and as soon I could I did, but even where I live now isn't far enough. Two more years of undergraduate work and then I'm off to grad school somewhere else in the country. Can't wait, even if it's as close as Lansing or Ann Arbor. Anywhere but here.
I'm doing an Italian accent for my next play. It's kind of hard.

Merry Christmas from the Dark Lord, everyone!
I hope your Christmases are painful and pitch-black like your souls!
I'd like to see a movie about the production of that Spider-Man musical.
