Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 then.
Three hours here, but I really took my time. The length felt good to me, though I agree $15 is a little steep.
Overall I liked it, but it didn't hit nearly as hard as the main storyline. Ellie is a wonderful character, and her story is fleshed out here to good effect, but Joel is sorely missed, the ending felt somewhat anticlimactic, and I couldn't help but roll my eyes a little when the music played during the joke reading.
The mini-games/pseudo-combat scenes were absolutely astounding--fun, surprising, even innovative. The actual combat was pretty much as strong as before, though pitting infected against humans was overhyped imo. It seemed pretty easy too... Granted I've played me a lot of the Last of Us, but I didn't die even once on hard.
Regarding a certain revelation:
[]
Yeah, very ironic at the spoiler.
The fight scenes were some of the more clever uses of mixing people/clickers/etc. The final fight may have been one of the best in the whole series.
I was thinking they were going to use actual friends of ours with the integration of facebook.
Beat "God of War" and onto "God of War II".
The scale is already bigger. That fight with the Colossus was pretty neat.
I'm finally getting through Rage. When I started 2 years ago my gaming HD died and I lost my progress. Just made it to Subway-town.
I am really baffled by how much Id missed the mark on this. Aside from the blatant copying of Fallout and Borderlands, the game doesn't really do much to peak any interest in the post-apocalyptic-FPS-barren-wasteland-desert-survival games. Like Doom and Quake, Rage just continues to throw enemies at you as you trek through the same areas over and over (and sometimes backwards). Yes other games make you return to the same areas (Borderlands) but Rage's linear single hallway design makes it tiresome. The racing feels so out of place and the in-game economy is very broken. Yes it's pretty when you're looking at stuff far away, but when you're close it's really gross. At least Fallout had a highres texture pack. Rage just looks like pixels.
Yeah, I found "Rage" to be a beauty without brains (or much else).
Completely agreed about the racing and in-game economy.
id really needs to get their act together if they're wanting to remain relevant in the gaming world.
In other news, just freed the Steeds of Time in "God of War 2". Pretty much agree with what Skitch just said - everything in 2 is better than 1. Particularly the hit detection during combat. In 1 I frequently felt like I was dying due to unfair circumstances (controls failing, hitting enemies but the game not registering it, etc.) Everything is tightened up here.
The one area that Rage does better than Borderlands and Fallout, and just about every other game, is in making the weapons feel powerful and the combat hard-hitting. You can feel every shot that makes contact. I loved shooting the weapons in Rage.
Just saw that High Moon isn't involved in the new "Transformers" game.

Jesus, Kratos is like, the biggest dick in the universe.
Does he ever redeem himself? Or even see the error of his ways?
Or does he spend 6 games being an enormous cock bag?
Cool, glad to know I'm not the only one finding him to be a huge jerk.
He has the emotional maturity of a 9 year old.
He's very angry...watch the world burn and all that...
Holy shit, you guys see the PSN sale on Rockstar games?
Max Payne 3 for $5, Red Dead Redemption+Undead Nightmare for $10. Then PS2 classics like Max Payne, Red Dead Revolver, Bully and Manhunt for $2.50 each.
I'm assuming a lot of you have heard of Twitch Plays Pokemon but just don't want to talk about it here.
Meg mentioned loving Runner 2 a few months ago and I mentioned playing it and got bored. I on a whim started playing it again and I'm hooked. I've played it like 2 hours a day for the last three days.
That Rockstar sale is great for people who haven't played those games already.
