Yep. I did that in Dark Souls and strong-attacked the blacksmith. Had to start the game over.

Do you guys have the trigger clips for the L2R2? They're pretty awesome (and cheap).

I'd pay full price for REMake on the PS3.
Yeah, GC was like the place for "RE" games for me. Between the "REmake", "RE 4", and "Zero" (I liked that one a lot, actually), I think I had my most fun with the franchise on that system.
Attempted a bout of GTA Online for the first time. The city is predictably empty, plus I'm taking missions from a NPC character, which is weird. Had some exciting missions in the SP game, but for a game which feels so open, the missions are incredibly restrictive although gotta give props for the character switching which mixes things up a bit. Getting into Fort Zancudo is no laughing matter by the way. :D
It was re-released for the Wii, so you can still play it on that console or on the Wii U. It's held up really well, it seems. It apparently looks great on the Wii U running through HDMI (this is equivalent to playing the game through those super rare component cables on the Gamecube, which was generally considered to be the best way to play the game).
It looks quite nice on the Wii U Game Pad, as well. Here are some shots lifted from NeoGAF (source):

Awesome Games Done Quick '14
This has been pretty much awesome. 4-Player Super Metroid race was epic. F-Zero GX run was unreal.
I own REmake for the Wii and it definitely holds up.
I'm convinced the AI in NCAA Football 14 Road to Glory wants my audibles to fail.
I finished Machinarium the other day, that was a fun game. I enjoyed it even more than Botanicula.
I wish I could sneak my way into the base, but it's kinda weird and bullshit to have a stealth mode for a character and gun suppressors and still get an automatic 4-star wanted level for simply being inside the perimeter of the base.
And I keep saying this, but for a game which is so open ended and invites the player to just screw around, the missions are directed to a fault. I wish they would say there's the truck, do whatever you need to rob its contents. Yes, that would make stuff far too easy I suppose, but I feel little elation sometimes as the game contantly tells me what to do, which stuff to obtain and where to go. It feels a bit contradictory.
Crap Warframe is fun as hell. Should have started playing this months ago.
Anyone play Assassins Creed III: Liberation on the Vita? (DD?) It's coming to PSN/XBL this week (i think) and since I'm on an Assassins Creed binge, I'm wondering if I should pick it up.
Did not like it at all. Felt very hard to play on the Vita. However, the only AC I really like at all is the newest one, and that's because it has a bunch of stuff that has nothing to do with AC-style gameplay.
You know what game I do love, though? Diablo III on the PS3. Started a wizard on normal yesterday, and played through Act I.
I've never really played a Diablo game but for some reason I'm looking forward to playing III. I'm holding off for the PS4 version though.
I've been playing the new Devil May Cry and it's pretty fun. I usually suck at these combo heavy games so I'm playing it on easy but I'm still enjoying it. Some crazy stuff in this game.
Love the crazy art style and hyper color, and the levels are awesome. Loved the game up until the point when they introduced the L2 and R2 weapons. So many action games these days feel the need to use combinations of every single button on the controller, and thus they over complicate things to make the game seem more deep. DmC was perfectly great with just the guns and main sword - no need for the two other weapons, that basically just act as switches and buttons. It doesn't make the game more fun to play, and it doesn't make it more challenging - it just makes to cumbersome. It turned into one of those games that if I take a day off in between sessions, I've completely forgotten what the buttons do, and what the combos are. Same thing goes for Darksiders; I took a few days off from that game, and when I returned to it I had completely forgotten how to control my dude.
Free tomorrow for PS+, Bioshock: Infinite
The Last of Us DLC, called "Left behind", will be a prequel.

If you want 110% fanboy shock value, I would recommend playing the first game that Kevin Levine wrote (he also wrote Infinite). It's very hard for me to recommend not playing it and at the same time denying that both games are linked. There's also some major links in the Bioshock Infinite DLC "Burial at Sea", which you can tell by the name has some linage to Bioshcok as well as some reoccurring characters. That is all I will say unless you want me to post in spoilers.
Kevin didn't write Bioshock 2 and IMO is a terrible story and has worse gameplay mechanics. Bioshock 2 can be avoided.
I haven't played Infinite yet, but Bioshock 1 is an ESSENTIAL video game. I didn't hate 2, I liked some of the new gameplay mechanics, but once you've been down that road its hard to repeat the experience.
