I'll add you in a day or two, but I've been too busy this past week to play video games.

I think I'm carlsagansghost.
Meg, I added you to my friends list on the PSN.
Fired up Dead Space last night. It's been sitting on my shelf for a while. I believe I stopped playing it when another game was released that I had been anticipating ... probably Fallout. Either way ... whoof. Atmosphere out the wazoo, I find myself almost constantly tense. I yelled out at least three times, too.
I had a personal vow to never post in this thread again but; Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls releases March 25 and Steam Christmas Sale began today.
The devil made you do it.
My favorite Games of 2013
10. Saints Row 4
9. Dead Space 3
8. Bioshock: Infinite
7. Metro: Last Light
6. Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon
5. Payday 2
4. Outlast
3. Borderlands 2: Tiny Tina DLC
2. GTAV
1. The Last of Us
You can't count DLC as games! That's unfair!
Why not?

Played Walking Dead: Season 2 last night. ANd yeah, it really ramps up the dread right at the beginning. Almost to a point where it's like The Passion of Clementine. Jees. It almost started bordering on being too much actually.
There's a definite Children of Men vibe to The Last of Us. I'm incredibly riveted. Desolation has never felt so inviting and pervasive in games.
I think I've now finished all the 2013 releases I'm going to so I feel pretty comfortable with this top ten list:
1. Gone Home
2. Pikmin 3
3. New Super Luigi U
4. Rayman Legends
5. Beyond: Two Souls
6. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons
7. Bioshock Infinite
8. Super Mario 3D World
9. Steamworld Dig
10. Tomb Raider
This has been a great year for games.
2014 looks like it could be a pretty nifty year for horror games.
"Dying Light", "The Evil Within" and "Outlast" all coming to next gen systems, and apparently there will be news on a new "Dead Space" game as well.
I'm still really hoping that "Amnesia" makes it to consoles at some point.
I don't play too many games, but confident that Last of Us was the best of the year.
Ys is my favorite game on the Vita and my favorite game of the year. Absolute JRPG perfection. The kind of JRPG that was good before Square messed everything up post FFVII. It's heavy on the gameplay, action, and exploration and light on the narrative bs. It's a blast of pure nostalgia loaded with modern day convenience and style. If you have a Vita this is a must buy.
"LEGO Marvel Superheroes" is freaking delightful. The humor, the references and number of characters to see and play as, and the overall sense of fun is fantastic. Some of the writing is just hilarious - the back and forth between Nick Fury and Doctor Doom coming up with terrible names for their plans is so damn funny. "It's time for us to begin our Latveria Operation! I call it...Operation Latveria!"
The sheer amount of content is staggering, too. There are quite literally (yes, literally!) hundreds of characters to unlock and play as, from every corner of the Marvel universe. And most of the more mainstream characters also have several different costumes and looks to unlock.
Wrap that all around a fully explorable New York City hub world (with all five burrows to see and do lots of stuff in).
It's an enormous game. I've been playing for nearly 10 hours and I'm only 3% complete.
Man, Okami is long. Awesome game, but could have done with some tightening. Think I'm almost finished it.
...
Borderlands 2 and Devil May Cry on PS+ this month pretty good.
Completely agree. It's one of the few games I didn't finish because I thought it was just too damn long.
It got to the point where I felt like I really wasn't doing or seeing anything new. It just kept going.
It certainly was beautiful and I had a lot of fun with it, but it could have been 5-10 hours shorter.
