This is probably a dumb question, but...are the PS3 and PS4 PSN's exclusive or do they crossover?

One thing I'm very concerned about re: this new gen is the abundance of microtransactions in games that cost full retail. I definitely will not be buying any games for the PS4/XBONE that cost $60 and then have dozens of mt's on top of that. Publishers are getting too damn greedy in employing the free-to-pay model on top of the traditional retail model.
I've already made up my mind that I will wait to research all mt's on new full-retail games, and if there are more than $100 worth in a new game I won't buy it.
I don't care what game it is - Dark Souls 4, Demon's Soul 2....whatever. This whole situation is lame.
The amount of things to buy with real money in the Forza game is absolutely outrageous - I can't believe people are buying the game. They're basically saying they're OK with a free-to-pay model on top of a retail model.
Not me, though. Fuck that.
Meg - you can get Journey now on the PS4, right?
Ah - I heard they're going to do a PS4 version, right?
My games so far:
Killzone: Shadow Fall
AC IV: Black Flag
Lego Marvel Superheroes
Resogun
Contrast (currently downloading)
Flower (currently downloading)
They haven't announced a PS4 version yet but it's assumed they will since they announced Flower and Flow (thatgamecompany's other two releases) already. The coolest thing is that they are cross play so since I have the PS3 version of Flower I get the PS4 version for free.
Any chance "The Last of Us" might come to PS4 at some point?
It's pretty much the only PS3 game I'm interested in, but I really don't want to buy the system for a single game.
The only non-digital PS3 game they've announced for PS4 is Tomb Raider which is getting an ultimate edition on PS4 & Xbox One. There's a chance sure but I don't think Naughty Dog wants to spend 6 months to a year working on another version of a game they already released when they could be making new stuff. They'd probably outsource it to some other company.
Edit: Forgot Rayman Legends was announced also.
Flower is a nice, awesomely relaxing game. Except for one fucker of a level.
Borderlands 2, free on PS+.
I'm stoked to be playing Borderlands 2. Can already see the improvements.
Oh man, "Killzone: Shadow Fall" is an awful game.
So boring, so poorly designed. I almost don't even want to finish it.
This might be the game I've waited my whole life for.

It's really pretty and certainly an astonishing technical achievement.
I hope however it is you interact with the world is actually compelling and interesting and fun. Ideally, it'll deliver some of the promise of freedom it appears to imply.
Yep - that's the key, right?
It's got to be fun and rewarding to explore the world.
In the game, it will be possible to see a star in the sky while on a planet, and fly to that system without a single load, all in real (in whatever FTL "real" they use) time. The whole thing is about exploring planets in the universe, and each planet has its own unique ecosystem and biosphere.
Yeah, it's such a beautiful, awesome idea.
I'm a little skeptical I'll enjoy whatever it actually is/becomes because of how little I've ever enjoyed space exploration/resource management/trading games in the past.
I sound overly pessimistic, probably. It's neat and awe-inspiring to be sure, though. Just sometimes really cool tech and ideas and visual designs are put into a game (or film or whatever for that matter) without an interesting game to actually interact with. Still. Hoping it rocks.
