The way your first post was phrased it seemed as if you were commenting on the button layout AND the shape of the controller (you used "either"). Which is why I was confused because the SHAPE of the controller is exactly like a 360 controller.

No, that's me, I was just incredibly silly. And yes, 1,092 hrs for civ 4. I, uh, play it a lot. Although I'm sure some % of that the game was open but I was off doing something else.
NOOOOOO!
I lowered the God of War 3 difficulty level from hard to normal. I'm weak, pathetic, unworthy of the Gods.
One level towards the end was making me cry for my momma. I soooo look forward to a first person shooter next. These God of War games on hard can feel like hard, punishing work!
This game is the Return of the King of videogames. It.does.not.know.when.to.end. In terms of sheer gameplay, the final 20 minutes are awful and it just overshoots its ambitions.
Ha. The fourth one. I thought I completed that game three or four times, only to realize I had more to play.
And where in my post did I say that game wasn't awesome? I does that thing at the end where you're running in a pitch black nether region, hearing only muffled voices and seeing the occasional blood-smeared footprint. Far Cry 3 had a similar level right before you kill Vaas and I hate'em. I think Max Payne pioneered them. Really though, God of War III is so goddamn relentless and pulse-pounding that any lull in the action becomes immediately perceptible. To suddenly find myself in such a moment devoid of anything even remotely resembling action was a letdown. Although I didn't really care about the story either. And yes, on Hard (let alone Titan) the game can become a bit of a grind, unless you're super talented, but that makes victories taste that much sweeter.
Yeah, the labyrinth. One of the very first challenges was when you're fighting wave after wave of enemies while two big Orcs attempt to break the chain of the giant cube you're standing on. The giant scorpion was another toughie, but I finally succumbed to lowering the difficulty level at the moment when you're fighting underneath the chained Daedalus. Smooth sailing after that.
Here (at 11:49 the torment begins):

I have God of War Ascension. I'll get to it eventually.
Started Crysis 3 by the way. Havin' a blast. Graphics are exceptional even if there's some chunky and bland textures to wade through prior to entering the dome. It's all sweetness now. Early impressions remind me of The Last of Us actually.
And where in my post did I say that you said it wasn't awesome? I'm disagreeing with your comment about the gaming not knowing where to end. I thought the black space ending was a great finish-line to a game that plays at 100 MPH for 8 hours and than slows down to 30 to finish the game.
Batman: Arkham Origins to Have Ultra-Hard Permadeath Mode
Quote:
"We have a new difficulty level, New Game Plus is coming back - that's really difficult - and when you're done with that there's I Am The Night mode - which is no saves and one life."
No saves? That's annoying.
Wicked. Even Dead Space 2 allowed you to save 3 times.
I beat Rayman Legends and now I'm working my way through 100% everything. I think I might have liked Origins slightly more but these are still some of the best platforming out there besides the Mario series. I also picked up Tomb Raider for $10 but it might be a little while before I start playing it. I still have The Wonderful 101 which I haven't touched and I'll be getting Rain tomorrow on PSN.
Ah I forgot about Rain. Yeh that's supposed to be good. I'm stuck in backlog hell so... no more games for a while for me.... unless someone here gets the new Batman and it actually turns out to be awesome.
I'll probably get that Batman eventually when it drops in price. I did basically everything in the last two and I'm up for another one. Might save it for a slow period because shit is gonna be crazy over the next couple months.
Nope. I trust MC though.

I am so ready for this.

Valve Files Half-Life 3 Trademark
The filing is for a trademark on "Half-Life 3" under two classifications: "Computer game software; Electronic game software; Downloadable computer game software via a global computer network and wireless devices; Video game software" and "Provision of on-line entertainment; provision of computer and video games and computer and video game programmes from a computer database or via the Internet."
Do you need to trademark Half-Life 3 when you already have Half-Life?
No, it's not necessary. It's just a convenience thing. Much faster to claim you own Half-Life 3 is you have a trademark for something called Half-Life 3 than having to argue that Half-Life 3 is part of your Half-Life trademark.
IIRC, they never filed a "Half-Life 2" trademark. They're learning.
