Is it possible to Rage-Start a game? Because I'm determined not to let FarCry 3 get the better of me. I will beat this game and smash the disc and have to buy Scar a new one.
Okay, maybe I won't smash the disc.
Are the infected in "The Last of Us" really called "clickers"?
The Deepthroat mission. After playing through it with a calm mind. (I had a couple beers ...) I realized that I was playing it wrong. I thought the timer kept ticking after I fired the rocket at the bridge, so I was trying to rush through it and dying very quickly. Once I realized I could take my time ... and after beefing up my weaponry ... I got through it no problem.
Fantastic answer, Duke!
Seriously though, there's a semi-popular horror series called "Clickers".
It's about lobster/crab sea monster thingies coming out the ocean to attack humans.
I just wondered if perhaps someone at Naughty Dog was a big fan of that series.
Far be it from Duke, though, to pass up an opportunity to make a childish chirp on a video game he doesn't like!
"Injustice" is bringing in the John Stewart Green Lantern.
Not only is he voiced by Phil Lamarr, but his appearance is based on Idris Elba.
They're really into fan servicing with their DLC.
Just finished FarCry 3. Picked the good ending. Wasn't about to ...

I don't understand the reference, but it's the easiest thing to call them "clickers," considering their high rate of... clicking. Terrifying in a room too. Nothing like having to decide whether to take down a clicker first and blast out some stalkers, or silently try and kill them all (most likely unsuccessfully.)
Honestly? By the end I just wanted to finish it to get it over with. There was a constant string of minor irritations that kept me thinking about abandoning it. For example, something I didn't learn until the penultimate mission. After you've placed dynamite, it switches you to the weapon at the top of your selection screen and NOT the weapon you were just using. Really fucking irritating when it keeps switching to the bow and eighteen guys are flanking me with fucking flamethrowers. Another example would be during the mission when you're burning the drug fields and SUDDENLY THE MUSIC STARTS BLASTING AND DROWNING OUT EVERYTHING WHILE YOU'RE TRYING TO PLAY THE MISSION STEALTHY!!!! I turned the music off at that point, which turns off ALL THE MUSIC, so I didn't even hear it when somebody was playing a record during a cut scene. Fucking stupid.
That said, stealthily taking down the enemy strongholds was always a ton of fun. I also loved the Wanted Dead missions.
I loved the drug field sequence. I just figured that its kind of hard to be stealthy w/ a flame thrower. Anyways, hopefully the next game you find doesn't drive you crazy.
I've been cracking out on New Vegas GOTY lately, and have Hitman Absolution waiting on deck.
I didn't use the flamethrower until I took out all the guys. Even then, the molotovs and exploding barrels did a good job of starting fires. This was one of the few games I didn't care for the flamethrower, since using it pretty much meant you were going to get hurt by it.
Beat Last of Us. The game is easy, but the story is terrifying, and the best of its medium in quite some time. And while it was easy, it was actually fun the whole way through. How's the multiplayer?
Not sure what I'll return it for yet.
I always do the good ending before the bad ending.
That'll be the only thing I wished out of Last of Us was that there were a few more options as to what you could/couldn't do.
By the way, statistics show that I killed 601 people in this. I'm sure that includes the replays after dying, but that's quite the body count.
Meanwhile, going through the similarly plotted Bioshock Infinite now, and it just doesn't feel like it compares. Last of Us makes the girl feel way more important, and it's much tougher. In B:I, I can just back up a few steps, throw some crows at anyone that gets close, and kill the rest with carbines and sniper rifles.
the new Mad Max game will be violent... and not be Aussie

So, remember when the PSN came back online after being down for 3 weeks, and they were giving away free games? Well, one of those games I got was inFamous, which I played for a little bit, but I was still cracking on Rock Band 3 at that point so I didn't get really far.
Well, I fired it back up tonight, and man that game is FUN. Fully hooked.
