John Carpenter tweeted that he'd love to direct Dead Space.
Also, on iOS, Simpsons Tapped Out is amazing.
Also, it's free, but still has grossed $50 million.
I've been on a Mario tear lately. They added Super Mario World to the Wii U Virtual Console so I 100% that over the last week. I've always considered it my favorite game of all time and I still agree with that. I hadn't played it in 10 plus years and I still remembered where 99% of the secret exits and bonus stuff was. I then started playing Super Mario Galaxy (a game I never played because I had gotten rid of my Wii right before it came out) and I'm 50 stars in and it's fantastic. I was worried about the motion controls but I've had no problems other then some camera issues every once in awhile which are inherent to the 3D Mario games.
everyone should play this: http://candies.aniwey.net/
Finished up the story in "Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon" as well as all of the collectibles and side-missions. I just have an achievement or two to hunt to have "completed" it (killing a blood dragon with a bow is not going to be fun).
Some of the 80s references are just mind-numbingly awesome (if you're into that sort of thing, obviously). One side mission has you hunt down a series of very popular 80s cartoon/comic book characters. It was a hoot.
I wish they had lightened up on the dick jokes a bit - some are cute, but it gets a bit much particularly towards the end.
The final mission of the main game, though, is just totally gonzo amazing.
I got sidetracked too much in Fry Cry 3, and then stopped playing it.
No new EA games in development for Wii U after promising to support the console back in 2011.
Ouch.
Pre-order Madden 25, Anniversary Edition, from Amazon for $99 and you can get a full season of streaming NFL Sunday Ticket on comp/ps3/ipad etc.
So $40 more for the game gets you a package that retails for $300.

Quote:
For fans unable to receive DirecTV service, each Madden NFL 25 Anniversary Edition will include a unique code to access the 2013 regular season (17 weeks) trial of NFL Sunday Ticket on computers, tablets, and mobile devices- including access to the award-winning Red Zone Channel.
I know that most here poo-poo pre-rendered game trailers, but I love the teaser for "Arkham Origins".
I'd watch a whole movie in that style.
not really much of a deal unless you already have directv or don't have directv in your areaQuote:
For fans who are not currently DirecTV subscribers but are able to receive DirecTV service, they will receive a promo code entitling them to $10 off per month for their first year of service and one year of NFL Sunday Ticket Max at no additional charge.
Well, I don't!
I think my favourite aspect of Ni No Kuni is its use of the word obtained. "You obtained a sandwich"
beat metal gear solid 4 tonight. really loved the game. all the boss fights were fantastic
moved on to deus ex: human revolution. picked it up for $5 from best buy last week
Been playing the PS3's Infamous the past couple of weeks. It's an older game, but it's a lot of fun, particularly the acrobatics of the lead character. Pretty exhilarating as he leaps and bounds from building to building to pavement. It's a bit of a superhero game really and I really dig it. Color scheme is kinda drab, consisting of what appears to be a infinite spectrum of greys, but it's not necessarily detrimental to my enjoyment of the game.
And a brief foray over on youtube and the trailer for Infamous 2 tells me I need to get the sequel also. Looks crazy, and more colorful. :D
Amazon has Bioshock: Infinite for PCs on special for $34.99 today. I had a $5 promo code from a previous return so I finally bought it.
Since losing my job, I picked up Red Dead Redemption and have been playing the hell out of it. Last time I played, I think I only got 3/4 of the way through it. I just reached Blackwater. You know, if you go the General Store in Blackwater, shove and kick the shop owner and then point a gun at him, he will pull out a rifle and shoot at you. If you're lucky, you can lead him into the street and initiate a shootout between him and the cops. He's one tough sumbitch, too, because he'll plow through dozens of cops before they finally take him down in a hail of bullets. It's hilarious.

Steam Trading Cards.
Have begun playing "Dragon's Dogma", about 2-3 hours in. Just delivered the Hydra head to the capital.
It's...OK. Hoping it picks up or I'll probably drop it early, or just zoom through it to the conclusion.
Can someone who has played this please explain to me the praise heaped onto the game's combat system? I just don't get it. It's incredibly simplistic hack-n-slash, with the minor addition of being able to climb up the occasional large enemy.
"Choose an enemy from the group. Mash X until they are dead. Move on to the next enemy."
Why are people claiming it's so chock full of innovative ideas?
