Yeah, I feel like it's a console that no one is going to optimize for, so the games will look worse than most consoles of equivalent age.
I concede that point. Didn't really cross my mind since I don't buy most games until they're cheap on both anyway.
You definitely don't have to spend that much for a decent gaming rig.
I never played WOW, but this $48 million unlicensed theme park in China is fucking insane:http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain...ft-theme-park/

What the...?
Cool mod of GTAIV.

That is so fucking cool.
How could something like that be built without any licensing at all?
Is it because it's in China? Does the trademark not extend out of NA or something?
I know that, for example, anyone who tries to do anything with Godzilla or any of the other Toho monsters without licensing gets their butts handed to them on a platter by Toho. So what's different here?
China is notorious for infringing on any IP. Their court systems are virtually corrupt and some do not acknowledged patents. Trademarks are the most common abused. It's why things like this are allowed to happen.
It should be pointed out that even a $50 million ginormous theme park was built over there, and we only found out when someone went there and put a bunch of pics on Reddit.
I wonder what else they've got going on that we're unaware of.
I bought Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch today. I've been dying to play it ever since I learned Studio Ghibli did the animation and Joe Hisashi did the music.
About damn time a quality JRPG came out for the PS3.
I bought Ni No Kuni too. I've made it to the second city so far. It has easily the best video game music in recent memory. Aside from the incessant hand-holding (which I kind of expected, but not quite this much), the presentation is amazing. Battle is pretty shallow at the moment, but I'm still early on.
I don't think I've played a JRPG since I went on a FF kick in middle school. There's definitely a nostalgia factor.
My copy of Ni No Kuni should be here tomorrow. I only hope I can stomach the massive amounts of hand-holding during the first few hours, because I really want to enjoy the game once it opens up.
Is Ni No Kuni turn-based?
It's more like the Tales games - you can run around the battle field as you want to position yourself to attack, and the encounters are closed in an arena.
Report: Next PlayStation features AMD GPU, x64 CPU architecture, touch controller :)
Touch controller? You mean now I have to make sure my controller doesn't drop to the floor? Boo.
I finally beat The Walking Dead. What a game. What an experience.
That's easily the best game I've played in years.
Entered the modern age and got a smart phone. Easily its most useful function is the ability to play Final Fantasy VI on the bus. Played it before but never completed it. It's great.
Yeah, all I have are rookies now. I'll at least see what happens when the aliens take over. May move on to the Ghibli game.
I'm a couple of hours into Ni No Kuni so far and I absolutely love it. It's like controlling a Miyazaki movie. Everything is gorgeous. Sure, it holds your hand for the first few areas, but I hear it becomes very challenging once it lets go. This is exactly the perfect game made for me.
It appears that THQ is no more. Was a little relieved that the Saints Row franchise and the South Park RPG were picked up by other publishers.
