Not really, I just decided I'm not interested in being a sociopathic gangster in a video game.

I've been on a hunt to get the achievements in pinball fx 2, so today I see Sorcerer's Lair and I'm missing the middle achievement which means it should be relatively easy. So my entire goal was to get the one achievement and in the course of the game I did everything but the achievement and even ended up beating my second wizard mode (Ghost Rider being my first) and upped my score from 80M to 261M. But I just can't get that blasted achievement. I got really close like 3 times.
I literally spent a few hours tonight watching gameplay vids & reading forums.
It looks incredible to me (well, pretty much anything would look amazing next. to WoW's aging models).
I'm a little concerned the starting areas are extremely linear ... but fuggit, then I figure if I can get ~100 hours out of it without doing dumb MMO grinds, it'll be worth the $46.
They'd have to get a dancing Twi'lek slave girl to show up at my house to get me to fork over the subscription fees in perpetuity, though.
Wow, "Dead Island" had a lame ending.
I hope there's a sequel, and I hope they learn a lot from the first game. Lots of improvement needed.
Back to "Dark Souls"...going to start a new character. I think picking the game back up in the middle of Blighttown isn't a good idea
After all my ardent defenses for Dead Island, it did lose its appeal pretty quickly. I'm not sure I'm going to bother going back to it.
Somebody spoil the ending for me, please.

Okay, so I stole and kept a STAG tank in Saints Row 3. Well, late in the game, they actually put another STAG tank in my garage, so I had TWO.
I had an evil thought, "If I take 1 tank out of the garage and exit it, and then get out my OTHER tank, maybe my minions, er, HOMIES, would climb into one while I climbed in the other!" (Because you see, if don't have room in your current vehicle for all your minions, er, HOMIES, the homies will just steal the nearest vehicle and follow you.) TWO-TANK MAYHEM!!
But, no. When I take Tank 2 from my garage, Tank 1 disappears.
How disappointing.
Holy hell, waiting for the UPS guy s KILLING me.
But I've narrowed my decision down to Jedi Guardian or Republic Trooper, so at least that's something.
Haha! Not 10 seconds after I posted that message, he showed up.
See you on Tatooine!
The next great RPG?

Here's a handy tradeskill chart if you want it. I have Slicing and Diplomacy maxed out and I'm leveling Bioanalysis. The plan is to keep Slicing until 50 just to make sure I can afford all my skill upgrades and then switch it to Biochem.

The dungeons in Ocarina of Time are totally evil. :frustrated: Just as I remember from 1998 except I don't remember how I traversed the initial ones back then. Which is good I suppose.
Started another new character in Dark Souls last night. The BB-glitch makes starting new characters so much fun. I did absolutely everything - rang both bells, went thought the Depths, the long way through Blighttown, protected some lowbies from Twink-invasions, went through Sen's Fortress, and made it to the second bonfire in Anor Londo - in 3.5 hours. Without dying once. I wonder how long it's going to take before I get bored of this game?
FFXIII-2 is more enjoyable than its predecessor so far. I don't understand why the reviews are bitching about the story. It's fine and everything you'd expect from one of these games. Personally, I'm glad they cut back on the cinematic aspect. Don't get me wrong, it's still a major factor, but FFXIII felt more like a spectator sport at times.
Battle system remains largely unchanged but more polished and efficient this time around. Same with the leveling system. I don't know how I feel about the random encounters yet, though. I think I liked FF13's more in that regard, but I still don't understand why they shyed away from FF12's system. That's the way to take this series, they just needed to iron out the kinks/AI in that and introduce an action element rather than merely approach enemies and wait it out.
The game surprisingly throws you into the mix with minimal tutorial which is nice. I don't understand all of the time travel elements yet, but I do know it's a massive improvement over the linear layout of FF13. There's also a casino and coliseum throwback in this game, but I don't have access to entering them yet. It also has a collection element to it which I'm a fan of. Similar to Super Mario 64's 120 stars, there are 160 memory fragments to collect which are acquired through killing bosses, completing sidequests, and uncovering hidden treasure. Then, there's the Pokemon monster-collecting aspect which allows you to use a monster as your third party member. As expected, you can level up these monsters along with your two main human characters. If you're familiar with FF13's battle system, your human characters can access all of the six roles, but each monster is designated to a specific one.
All in all, much more freedom in every aspect. Exploration, party building, character growth, you name it. At the same time, it's also more organized and polished than its sister game. I'll give the critics that the story and characters aren't as involving, but I'd rather play a game so I'll take it.
There's a small uproar going on with about 10,000 fans rallying against Valve since the company's communication concerning HL3 or Episode 3 info has, according to the protesters, been awful.
I'm inclined to agree if it weren't for the possibility that, well, you know, Valve ain't got shit to tell.
What's the news?

This is one of the places that video game culture is just incomprehensible to me.
Taking the day off tomorrow, and I plan on playing Reckoning all day. Can't wait.
But my god, could they have picked a more generic name? Kingdoms of Amular: Reckoning. Really?
That had to be all Bob Salvatore! ;)
I don't think I'll ever understand the appeal of Family Guy. All of the jokes are overkilled, and I don't laugh at them initially. It's really annoying if you're not on the same comedic wavelength.
