Not yet, I'm still somewhere in the second act with Joshua. I'm playing this one very casually. I've grinded, but haven't continued the storyline yet. I love that about the game, you can just grind for a couple minutes, save and turn the game off.
Also, I've picked up a bunch of other DS games these last weeks to keep me busy.

Well, it is a Mario game alright. Great platforming, although a bit too easy maybe.

I'm not very far into the game, but I love it. Great art direction and fun puzzles.

I like it. It's a very linear RPG, but kinda hard. The learning curve is pretty steep. The one thing that sucks is that you can't buy Phoenix Downs in shops. You have to grind and collect them.

Fantastic so far. I'm still playing on the default difficulty, which is a bit easy, but you can unlock different modes though.
Not yet, it's one of those titles I've read and heard a lot of positive things about but never actually picked it up or played it. I'm not sure why, maybe it's because I'm not very familiar with the Kirby games. But it definitely looks interesting.
I've also thought about picking up Yoshi's Island 2, but maybe that one is a bit too hard for me haha.
And I agree the DS rocks. It's like the PS2 of handhelds. And even though it's been out for a couple years now, I don't think it has peaked yet. :)
Have it. Love it. I think the reason that I'm breezing through it so quickly is because playing a 2-D Mario game is about as natural to me as walking or chewing. And that's what it does really well-being a 2-D Mario game. It has me really hoping for more in the series, perhaps following the trend of the original Super Mario Bros. games and adding more power ups akin to SMB3. Hell, I'd even love to play a remake of the original SMB or the JSMB2 in this style.
This game was my DS crack until I got TWEWY. I need to start playing it again. It's really got a great atmosphere and is a good deal of fun.
I bought this but am hesitant to start a new RPG soon. And I'm actually a bit more excited for the FFIV remake in July anyway.
Hmm, it's coming out in July already? I'd totally forgotten about that.
I'll probably be too busy playing Final Fantasy Tactics A2 which will be released later this month. :) FFT on the PSX is one of my favorite games of all time and I really hope Square has found a way to make this one just as awesome.
Sweet, Guitar Hero: Metallica in 2009.
Quote:
Earlier this year, Activision unveiled Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, the first installment in its billion-dollar rhythm series based entirely on a band. No sooner had the publisher announced the deal than speculation began to spread about what the second band-based Guitar Hero game would be. Along with Van Halen, the most mentioned group was Metallica, the legendary San Francisco Bay Area heavy-metal quartet.
Time to ride the royalty lightning!
Now, talk of Guitar Hero: Metallica is no longer a case of wishful thinking or idle speculation--it's fact. When sifting through an SEC filing of Activision's over the weekend, Wedbush Morgan Securities analyst Edward Woo--associate of the highly visible Michael Pachter--uncovered a gem in the section where the Santa Monica, California-based publisher discussed its upcoming game slate.
"In fiscal 2009, we plan to publish Guitar Hero: On Tour for the NDS; Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, Guitar Hero: Metallica, and Guitar Hero IV across multiple platforms," the company said in its report. Activision's fiscal year ends on March 31, 2009, which means that the game will likely follow the holiday release of Guitar Hero: World Tour (nee Guitar Hero 4).
Guitar Hero: Metallica will be the first time a game based on the multiplatinum-selling band--which has become only slightly less famous for its antipiracy efforts as its musical achievements--has made it to retail. However, it is the second such game to be announced. In 2003, Vivendi Games--which will soon merge with Activision--struck a deal to create a vehicular combat game inspired by Metallica's music. Unconfirmed reports stated that the project had been quietly canceled in 2005.
In other news, Activision's SEC filing also confirmed that the next James Bond game, which will be developed by Treyarch using the Call of Duty 4 engine, will indeed be titled Quantum of Solace like the next James Bond film.
Oh, yeah, I forgot that one was coming out. I'll be looking forward to picking that up, eventually, too. If there's one thing I hope they've improved over FFT Advance, it's the speed. FFTA was one of my favorite games for the GBA, except for the fact that everything took forever. And it really didn't have to.
My wife bought a Wii Fit tonight. I'm sure you're all excited.
Finally got me a PS3, the beast is huge and heavy and i'm loving it.
Got GTA4 too, i didn't care much for the franchise after Vice City, but this new version is worth the 'next-gen' label. It's a major improvement in all areas, much more enjoyable to play as well and a lot more involving story-wise. But i'm still at the beggining.
I've rented Folklore too, it's a nice little game, great imaginative designs if a tad repetitive.
hauhauhauhauhauhua that guy will become the new darling of gaming forums
I bought Blazing Angels for 360. So far, so good.
