That's a pretty dumb video. It says a lot that the comments on a YouTube video are smarter than the video itself.

Uncharted 3 is awesome.
I think Nathan Drake is my favorite video game character.
I didn't think they were that special - I've played about 1/2 of 1 and 2. They always felt really odd to me, like they couldn't find their personality. I mean, Drake is supposed to be this totally normal guy thrown into a big adventure, and yet he callously kills hundreds of people and never mentions it. It's really weird - one of those things that stands out in the uncanny valley of the game.
I prefer the exploration and puzzle solving like in the first couple Tomb Raider games. You only killed a few enemies in each level, and most of those were wild animals. Each conflict was tense because there was so little of it.
However, the production values in the Uncharted games is amazing. Great voice work and acting, too.
Uncharted 3 is the answer to brown video games.
It's not. But DD does have a point. He's this witty, charming, good looking dude who lives only to find historical artifacts. Before they added the hand to hand combat abilities in the 2nd game, he was a ruthless killer. Now, what the developers tried to do was get around this, by 1. making the enemies pirates and 2, (only read if you want to be spoiled by Uncharted 1 and 2's story arch)

But there's still a sense of non-compassion for the hundreds of people he kills. And even the stealth combat has him breaking necks. I for one think this is a minor flaw (imagine pirates were shootnig at you, what would you do?!) but a legit complaint.
Uncharted 2 and 3 are the best games I've ever played. When people say they can't get into them, I wonder what else they are playing that they ARE getting into... Probably Gears and Halo.
Was more of a joke than anything. Should have put ;)
Speaking of FUII, That's worth playing? The first was OK.
I never finished the first one, but had a blast with the second one. I think the general consensus is that its better then the first. And you can probably pick it up cheap these days.
Plus, there's a d/l for it where you can play Endor and go after the rebels. Its fun, if you're a dark side mark.
Yeh I like playing both sides of games. I always play light first and then play dark. Although I haven't tried it in the Mass Effect series yet. I'd like to see how much of a dick Sheppard can be.
Would you mind checking steam to see how much it's running for? (blocked by work)
Amazon = $18
Goozex = 400 points (still too much)
I played the first Uncharted at my buddy's house, before I had a PS3, and I loved it. It's been on the shortlist of games to pick up, and now there's a Uncharted 1 and 2 two pack for something like 35 bucks. Very likely the next game(s) that I get.
OHMYGODSKYRIM
*DROOL*
I can not wait for this.
Not starting a system war, just making an observation...
I've never understood why PS3 owners are so damn testy with "our system's better!" stuff.
I know every game console has their fair share of insecure dicks, but I find that any discussion anywhere (even in the work lunchroom) where someone mentions, say, really loving their 360, or digging "Halo" games, gets responses from PS3 owners like "fuckin' 'Halo' is gay - we have 'Uncharted'!" and stuff like that.
Like...really? Really?
They're almost always the ones to incite the console war competition.
I'm waiting to get too excited about Skyrim until I read something about the combat and enemy scaling. The fact that the enemies scaled with you in Oblivion to such a degree that you never felt more powerful, even after dozens of hours, and the bland combat mechanics really hindered my enjoyment of the game.
I'm hoping they've addressed these matters in some way.
This is what sold me. Dual-weilding magic and weapons. Oh, mama!

Yeah that looks epic as hell.
I just don't want to touch anything else (of course I'll make an exception for "Halo: Anniversary") until I'm done with "Dark Souls" and "Arkham City".
I also still ahve "Oblivion" on my shelf to play. I've not even touched that one yet.
Holy shit the game has Horker Meat and Sweet Rolls? SOLD.
All kidding inside, this looks pretty awesome. Fantasy RPGs have never really appealed to me, but the immersiveness of the game, and the landscape that reminds me of Red Dead Redemption has me very intrigued. It's also cool that you can switch between first and third person.
May be time to finally take the plunge into Fantasy RPGs and relive the glory AD&D days from high school!
