Freakin' AR missions...........
I think I'm near the end of Vanquish. What a cool, insanely exciting, and visually overwhelming experience!!!
Yay, finished all the AR missions. Tip: when you're dive bombing instead of pulling up to get out of it just let go of the dive button (but still holding on to the glide button) and Batman kind of auto-levels out. It took me about 100 tries on the one through the circus tunnel before I figured that made it a lot easier and once I did that it only took me a couple tries to get my timing down.
8 - how did they pull off the gliding and stuff with the Batman Beyond suit?
They didn't give him a cape, did they?
No, which is why gliding is easier with the Beyond suit. There's no cape blocking your view.
1 day till Uncharted. Finished AC last night (main story) so I will pause on Tuesday to play Uncharted 3 to completion.
Yes.

My PLaystation 3 broke 45 minutes into Uncharted 3
Nightwing is pretty cool in "Arkham City". Have only played a few of the challenge maps so far, but I really like his combat style and gadgets. And the animated skin is awesome.
To play as him in the campaign, does it work the same way as Catwoman, where you go to one of those character switch points?
It's amazing how much more challenging the combat in "Arkham City" becomes in New Game Plus, where you have no hints or warnings.
I'm dying a lot.
Remember, GTA V announcement trailer today!!!!!!!!
It's all good. I went out and bought 160GB slim and still made it to Chapter 8 from when I posted that.
It didn't really "die", the blu-ray drive failed, so I'm sending it back to Sony for repair for $120. So I’ll have a PS3 in the bedroom now. It’s a launch 60GB PS3.
You can't play as Nightwing or Robin in the main story, unfortunately, only on the challenges. I got Robin as my bonus for getting the game at Best Buy, I like his fighting style too. He may be more fun to fight with than Batman. It is a shame there's no story content for those characters; maybe that will be further DLC.
Has anyone done all the Riddler trophies and riddles in the main game yet? I'm pretty close, like 20 left out of 440. Some of these are really tough and there's a few where I'm just stumped on what I could even try to get them.
Dang that sucks.
I was a little disappointed to find that if you play the campaign with a DLC skin, it doesn't transfer to the cutscenes. I don't see why it wouldn't, since they're done with the in-game engine.
It was weird to jump off a tower as DKR Batman, then see myself swoop away as regular Batman in the cutscene.
Some of the cutscenes are pre-rendered, some are in-game engine.
XBox360 vs PS3...pros/cons? Aside from the pricing difference which is pro-Xbox.
Speaking as a guy who owned both (My xbox died a month or so ago so i'm down to the PS3)...
For me it comes down mainly to which system has more exclusives. XBox has the Halo, Gears of War, Forza, Left 4 Dead franchises; PS3 has Uncharted, Little BigPlanet, KillZone, Gran Turismo.
From a hardware standpoint, PS3 wins on processing power, plus it has bluray, and generally speaking, has less issues (if you get an xbox, you're almost guaranteed a hardware failure at some point, but MS is pretty good about getting you a new one as long as you're still in warranty). Xbox IMO has the better online experience tho, and I also give them the edge on downloadable games (eg. N+, Rez).
PS3 has Blu-Ray and far better graphics. It can be debated on which has the better exclusive games. I say it's 50/50 there.
I much prefer X-Box Live to the PSN though. Easier to navigate. More downloadable games, and I like the ESPN3 option a ton.
I will say that you can't lose either way.
All that matters to me is that my system works how it should when I turn it on. I also owned both (though the 360 I owned was a couple years ago and I'm told they work better now) and my 360 took a dump after 5 months. In the meantime, my PS3 has worked flawlessly for two years now. It's no contest for me. The PS3 is the better purchase.
Yeah, sucks about the hardware issues. I've heard of PS3 taking dumps too. I've had my X-Box for three years now and haven't had a single issue.
My preferences is the 360, mainly because of the controller. I love it. I have a really hard time using the PS controllers now - they just don't feel right, too lite, and the dead-area on the sticks is too great. I also don't like how the top of the analog sticks is rounded, rather than concaved; my thumb constantly slips off.
I also don't care about Blu-ray, because I will never buy one.
However, I will be buying a PS3 this year, as soon as I find one that is backwards compatible. Although I mainly want one to play my old PS2 games, and my PS2 is broken.
I have nothing against Sony at all. I really do like the PS machines.
