Been downloading for like 45 minutes now.

My XBL downloads lately have been SLOW as can be. It's not my internet connection. Something has to be wrong with XBL. The other day it took me an hour to DL 300mb.

The update last night took over 1.5 hours. F THAT.

OK so I started a game in "Dark Souls". I'm a Cleric named Mazeltov.

I'm reading lots of the little messages but them seem to be ones generated by the computer. Stuff like "Press RB to attack", that kind of thing.

Does playing this game automatically mean you're online? Will I start seeing messages from others fairly soon?

I'm just wondering if perhaps the online component will work for me, since It's not directly playing with others.

Blech. Such a boring boss fight right now in Deus Ex: HR. The game just comes to a screeching halt right now. It's the polar opposite of all the sweetness that came before. Hope I beat this beeyotch pretty darn fast.

Yes - that's your "tutorial."
(But it still never tells you how to jump!)

You should start seeing message/ghost outside of the first starting area. After you beat the first boss, who is harder than the final boss in most games.

The knight that you find dying. Before you travel through the white light to fight the asylum demon (which I beat in the first try, by the way - I definitely chose the right class by going with cleric), you can walk down a hallway where you find the knight, dead, waiting in a dark corner.

I died 4 times trying to defeat the knight, then beat the Asylum Demon right away :lol:

Stick and move, kill the blobs. Bring fire, lots of fire if you want an easier way to beat it, (at least that's what I heard, I did it the 'hard' way).

Yes, I talked to him and he died naturally.

Then when I progressed, I found him, dead, waiting for me.

The skeletons - how the hell do I kill them? I break them down and they just come back.

Did you fully explore the area around the Firelink Shrine?

As far as I know, yes. Spoke to Fatty (:lol:) and went up some stairs to nowhere.

Vinnie, on GB, thinks that they purposefully made the English translation more vague to further F with us. For instance, in the original Japanese, when you walk through the white light, it just says something like "You walk through the fog." However, in the English version it says "You traverse the White Light."
