When did I ignore a flaw?
I like Duke Nukem Forever the same way I like the Chronicles of Riddick.(the movie not the game)

loved the police mission last night. Game is growing on me. But I realize it's 2027, but I am so sick and tired of human sized ventilation shafts.
No biggie. I understand DNF was a poorly developed game and hastily slapped together. But I admire the character and nostalgia value from my childhood. (as most people do in games, books, movies)
Dues Ex, although fans of the series will probably have similar views, so far every fan I've spoken to has ignored what the game actually is and defend the Universe it resides in, including the gameplay mechanics, terrible character models and stupid map designs. Seriously, it's 2027 in the game, and we are seriously sneaking through HUMAN SIZED VENT SHAFTs... With vent grates on hinges for easily access, removed and replaced... I mean c'mon! Give me SOMETHING creative here.
Anyone played the game Bastion yet?
I just bought it and it's pretty fun so far. Though playing with a keyboard sucks. Why didn't this come out for PSN?

A cool video that shows the graphical improvements between original Halo and the Anniversary edition.
I'm downloading super meat boy and fancy pants adventures. Fancy Pants I played the originals on kongregate and they were really fun and I had been wanting more so it's good to see they turned it into an actual game. Hope it's as good as it's smaller predecessors.

Fascinating. Canadian filmmaker commissioned by Deus ex makers to make doc on nano tech.
Details about second Halo Trilogy trickle out. It will be subtitled "reclaimer." New forerunner tech will be revealed.

EDIT: A reclaimer is apparently a person who has (re) gained full control over the titular Halo rings.
Quantum Conundrum, a new game from the makers of Portal.

Got Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. Seems more or less exactly the same as the last one. Which means its awesome.
I prefer Assassin's Creed's thing to Fallout's thing.
exactly. I am other way around. Which is why Brotherhood and New Vegas are basically the same thing. Just new games on the old formula of popular games that some people already liked.
I've been enjoying time with my new Wii these last few weeks. So far I've logged in quite a few hours with the latest Mario Kart, which is hardly mind-blowing, but easily an improvement over the comparatively overrated Double Dash and Mario Kart 64. I also downloaded Super Mario Kart from the Virtual Console, and after a steep adjustment curve, had a nostalgic blast with that as well for a few hours. I do wish I still owned Mario Kart DS though...
I also purchased Super Mario 64 from the VC for my Mom (she played through it twice back in the day, still loves it), which I found myself sucked back into. It still holds up remarkably well, and remains a more intuitive, pleasurable game design than virtually every 3D platformer that followed in its steps, its immediate successor Mario Sunshine included. I'm now more hyped than ever for what I've been missing out with in the Mario Galaxy series.
I've only purchased two WiiWare titles so far, including World of Goo, which took me a few levels to get into, but once I did, it has pretty much earned its sterling reputation, with only minor control issues mucking up an otherwise virtually faultless presentation/design, and LostWinds, which I enjoyed a good deal despite its disappointing length, sometimes finicky responsiveness of its otherwise ingenious play mechanics, lack of anything approaching narrative resolution, and increasingly samey environments that detract a bit from its lovely ambiance. Consideration as a first-generation WiiWare title bumped up my appreciation a bit.
Also been playing Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, which has many faults but satisfies as fan service and as an arcade-y action experience that's especially fun with co-op. Next up I have Zack and Wiki, Metroid Prime 3, Trauma Team, the second LostWinds, and a revisit of the SNES Legend of Mystical Ninja from the VC.
