I went grapepicking for a week and a half in France. Then I went to Munich for half a week to attend a bit of Oktoberfest.
Now I'm back and I can't think of anything to do.
Fuck.
Black hole.
I hope my country finally gets on the EU "white list" in 2010.
I really, really want to stop hating all those thousands of twenty-something backpackers from all over the world who I keep seeing every summer.
Currently on display at a Beijing gallery: Bernie Madoff gored by a farting bull.

Yeah, wish I had seen more of it.
I wanted to go to Berlin on my own afterwards, but I got selected to be part of some youth jury for the filmfestival Ghent. Only five people were, seems like it could be fun.
Definitely want to travel through Europe (and further). Might work for a bit, save up some money and then get to it.
When I was a little boy, my mother used to sing me a song. It went like this: "Life is short, life is shit, and soon it will be OVER." - KITH
Haha! Woody Allen says "Free Roman Polanski!" That's like Ted Bundy demanding the release of Charles Manson.
There's a petition going around Hollywood right being signed by some powerful names for his release.
I think there are much more dangerous people out there than Roman Polanski.
I'm not saying what he did wasn't wrong. But it was, what, 30 years ago? And the "victim" herself doesn't even want him convicted?
Just let it go, and spend all this time and money and media attention on something/someone more deserving of it.
So, seriously, has anyone heard from D_Davis?
Did he announce he was leaving for a while and I just missed it?
This is very easy for me. I ask myself, if this was someone that I knew nothing else about, would I think it just that they face up to their actions? And the answer for me is 'yes'.
I definitely think the amount of time passed should be considering when determining what punishment, if any, he should be given. However, I am totally OK with him being arrested.
Not really related to the Polanski case but more just a general opinion, I very much feel that the laws regarding statutory rape need to be re-examined.
I find it very hard to believe that a 16 or 17 year old girl "doesn't understand what she's doing" if she decides to have sex with a 30 year old guy.
Of course the situation changes if drugs/alcohol enter the equation, but that shouldn't be (and isn't) just for under-age cases. It's just as wrong if the woman is 40.
If the victim doesn't even want him prosecuted this case should be done with.

That's the thing. If the case goes to trial, they can lock him up just for being a fugitive. They want him, with or without a victim. The rape case seems almost inconsequential at this point.
