This new DS game "Monster Tale" sounds really neat.
IGN's brief description says "A mind-bending, genre-blending combination of platforming and pet simulation. With some Metroid in there. And Pokemon. And Castlevania. And Mega Man."

Speaking of Pokémon, anyone else pick up White and Black? If so, share you friendz codez!

Oh man, the "Mortal Kombat" web series looks awful.
I thought it was a joke.
Heh, I just got myself a new PC, so I'll actually be gaming for the first time since forever. My last rig was barely able to play 2005-6 games.
"The Secret World" sounds like it could potentially be the best game ever, if executed properly.
It honestly reminded me a great deal of this:

Man, there are a lot of missions in Fallout New Vegas. I got to The Strip thinking the game seemed slim, but then I doubled back and realised how much I'd missed.
Mass Effect anime coming...

Last weekend, while visiting Scar and chewing on his juicy ass, I noticed he had Mortal Kombat 2 on his PS3. Five bucks, he told me.
Hell, I spent hundreds of dollars on the arcade game from '93 through '95.. I would CERTAINLY get my $5-worth even if I only ever played it for a couple hours.
I used to beat the game. All. The. Time. Now? I can't even get past the fifth opponent. I once knew a guy who worked in an arcade (Pop's Arcade ... ahhhh, nostalgia), and he told me those old MK games had difficulty dip switches. Pop's would turn theirs up to the penultimate difficulty.
I think the PS3 version is turned up to the highest difficulty.
It doesn't help that the PS3 controllers are a sore replacement for the joystick. I frequently attempt a move and botch it up, and it almost certainly spells my doom when that happens. My neighbors must think I have tourettes after the steady stream of loud obscenities that were flowing from mouth for somewhere around six hours last night.
And dear god, how did I not notice how fucking CHEAP the opponents are? I can't tell you how many times my opponent would be laying on the ground, I would attempt to jump over them, and SUDDENLY, MAGICALLY, they're floating in mid-air and kicking me in the face. WTF MIDWAY?!
chewing on his juicy ass?
BBQ'd pork butt.

So last night I decided to play some "Halo: Reach" after a near 2 1/2 month hiatus. I just got so sick of playing the same maps over and over and over. I downloaded the Noble Map Pack DLC the day it was released back in November, and come January it still hadn't been integrated into the regular rotation of maps.
Well guess what? They still aren't.
Nearly 5 months since the first DLC pack was released, and you still only have two options:
a) Play "Team Slayer" which only incorporates the original maps that I've already played to death.
b) Play the DLC separately, which means playing 3 maps over and over and over and over and over and over.
What the hell is going on here, Bungie?
Other mega-popular online shooters incorporate their DLC into the regular map rotations within a matters of days to weeks. Sometimes even instantaneously, simply grouping players together who have the DLC, and those who don't are grouped together separately.
This is just ridiculous.
Been playing through Lego Batman with future stepdaughter. Pretty darn bright for a six-year-old. :)
From someone who still plays Halo regularly I can tell you that the DLC is actually incorporated into the regular game modes, but they hardly EVER show up. Breakpoint is probably the one that shows up the most on the Invasion and Big Team Slayer options. But the other two just don't come up a lot. You'll play Reflection 25 times on Team Swat before you even get Anchor 9 as an option. It's pretty lame.
IGN has the word "miniture" on their front page right now.
Nice work, fellas!
Did you think the bosses in the "God of War" games and "Bayonetta" just weren't big enough?
Was fighting a Titan a little yawn-inducing? Perhaps even a bit jejune?
Well, check out this trailer for "Asura's Wrath", an upcoming game by Capcom where you fight a demigod that's BIGGER THAN PLANET EARTH.
And yes, you are just a regular sized dude.
Your use of the word jejune is really pretentious.
