Why is it that many of the Wiiware games look better than most of the Wii retail games?
They actually look like good, new games - as in , not mini-game collections or remakes/sequels to tired old Nintendo franchises...

Between this, Eternity's Child, and a couple of other great-looking games, I'm starting to feel better about owning a Wii. :pritch:
My copy of Okami's Wii port should be here in about a week, so when I finish Tales of Symphonia, that should hopefully be ready for me. I'm really excited about playing that. Wii's also getting the ToS sequel exclusively.

I would like to see the cultivation of some new franchises (and thus mascots) out of Nintendo, but the Zelda series is probably my favorite line of games and the Mario series remains quality.
I know you don't care for them, D, but I'm still rather attached.
Other WiiWare game(s) I'm kinda stoked about: Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People. I haven't really followed Homestar Runner in a few years, but the classic point-and-click style gameplay developed by Telltale has me all kinds of excited.
Okay. I'm probably buying a DS in the next couple weeks. I'll be picking up Final Fantasy Crystal Chronices: Ring of Fates and Phantom Hourglass eventually. Any other recs?
I'd like to see a Kingdom of Heaven-esque RPG done with all Nintendo characters.
I won't recommend Phantom Hourglass. It looks and plays great, but there is one temple that ruined the game for me. And it sucks that that particular temple plays a huge part in the game, because you are forced to return to it again and again. I can't get myself to finish it.
If you like music games, you should check out Elite Beat Agents or the Japanese games Ouendan 1 & 2. The gameplay is mostly the same, but Ouendan is Japanese only so you might have to import them. They're really fun games though.
Trauma Center and the Phoenix Wright game series is fantastic aswell.
The remake of Final Fantasy IV will also be released in North America later this year. Good news for RPG fans! :)
Picked up Gran Turismo 5: Prologue at lunch. It's the first in the GT line I'll have played since the initial release because I never owned a PS2 and the closest thing Xbox has had was Forza, which I really love.
Hoping for the best.

Looks pretty cool.
I like this idea of having it be "a threat to the entire world".
I've really enjoyed some of the Spider-Man video games in the past - namely "Ultimate Spider-Man" - so I hope this one lives up.
