Dead & Messed Up

Finally finished Metroid: Other M. I don't hate it as much as I did for the first few hours of gameplay, but I still feel like the whole thing was a big misfire. Way too linear, way too much CG cinema breaks (especially during the second half), and, despite a couple cute twists (the "Other M" is up to interpretation), way too boring, even for space opera.

This wouldn't be so depressing had it not been preceded by the Prime trilogy.

Mass Effect 2 due out for the PS3 in January. PS3 release will contain all of the patches and may have some of the expansions already built in. Sweeet.

Yeah, that mountain looks eerily like the three peaks from SSX3.

Infinity Ward who? Seriously, Call of Duty: Black Ops trounces perhaps any CoD Infinity Ward game ever made in terms of SP campaign. The graphics, the vietnam missions, the Hong Kong escape over the rooftops.

Funny thing, the subtitles replace "fucking" with crap like %!!/* when the game itself is insanely violent. :)

I still haven't gotten past the Vietnam mission in Black Ops. The game is way harder than MW2.

Where are you stuck? Like I said in an earlier post, there's one murderous level where you're on top of a hill and you've gotta make your way down. Died about 40-60 times there on Veteran, but I've gotta say, that it became considerably easier after that. Still tricky, but with plenty of cover rather than being massively exposed.

Beautiful game, it took me nearly 50 hours though. Got a bif obsessed with finding secrets.

I was stuck going down the hill and then back up the one in the woods. Finally made it past that and I'm on the rooftop escape.
