At 30% completion, I'm still not sure about that. There are times when I feel it is a victim of its own premise. I really don't know why it took them so long to realize that Survival Horror is the right genre to make a Batman game in. Your worries weren't exactly unfounded. Superhero games tend to suck. Even the fun ones, like Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, get redundant fast. Arkham Asylum, to me, is the most conceptually complete superhero video game to date.

I'm playing a "good guy" this time through, siding with NCR. Is it possible to side with Caesar's Legion and get quests from them and kill the NCR if you make a "bad guy?" Just curious.

I've killed a few NCR, and since I help them out, I maintain a "average" level with them. So I'm guessing probably. Although I'm vilified by the Legion right now.

I had the opportunity to get A. Asylum for 13 bucks last night as it was a Steam deal, but I downloaded the demo, and it seemed like my graphics card just wasn't quite good enough for it. If I see a cheap enough copy at a gamestop for the xbox I might pick it up, though.

I would agree with this sentiment, and KF, I'm in the same boat (apart from having a kid who wants to play it, which I don't). After it being on the radar for about a year, I finally up and bought it a couple weeks ago, and blasted right through it. I'm not even a huge Batman fan, but the game drew me in completely and I blasted right through it. If I woulda known how awesome this game was gonna be, I woulda gotten it when it came out.

I just hope the next one has more opportunities to stalk multiple targets from the shadows and has more creative ways of taking them out, cuz that was my favorite part of this game.

Yeah, it puts #1 to shame. I wanted to replay the whole game as a bad character but can't get into playing #1 again.

I'm actually really enjoying New Vegas Hardcore mode. It may be slightly more challenging, but the added rules are just stuff that seems logical.

I totally lost interest in the first about 1/2 through it.

One thing about ME2 - damn the graphics are amazing. I mean, like WOW! It's the best looking game I've played on the 360.

I might agree with you there. Although I probably wouldn't invest in the expensive DLC stuff. Far too short, and it doesn't really amount to anything.

Can't wait for #3.

I don't have Live or my 360 hooked up to the internet anymore, so I couldn't get the DLC even if I wanted it.

Agreed. I wouldn't let my kid play that game, even though little kids play stuff like GTA games these days.

The Scarecrow sequences were creepy as hell, and the first time it occurred, I was really freaked out.

The Overlord DLC I played was pretty cool, but yeah overpriced.

"Halo: Reach" Noble Map Pack coming to XBL on November 30th!

It's only 3 new maps, though, so they'd better not pull a "MW2" and charge $15 for it.

In fact, it'd be nice if they went more the road of "Bad Company 2" and said "you know, you already dropped $60 on this game, so the first few map packs are on us".

I'm getting close to it. About twelve hours in, and I'm helping people get rid of their addictions and saving dogs.

just started it myself too

only complaint i have is that most of the baddies look like they were designed by the insane clown posse

far as I'm concerned, the thought of beating up juggaloes only adds to the game's appeal.

didn't look at it this way. still gotta say i hate the harley redesign, and i'm not crazy about how bane and scarecrow look. killer croc looks great

although none of this is really taking away from my enjoyment of the game. i'm having a hell of a lot of fun

Loved the Killer Croc and Scarecrow approach. Bane was a little silly.

Really was hoping to figure out a way inside Mr. Freeze's lair. I'm guessing he's in the next game.
