Yeesh. Clunky and ugly. Better figure out what you need and what you are willing to spend. That one's definitely one for casual users who carry it around in the pocket.

What is clunky and ugly about it?
And I thought I made it pretty clear that I am a casual user, who will carry it around in my pocket.
I bought a new TV last night. 40" Sony, 1080p.
Is nice.
This one looks like it could be nice, too...

I read it on the Verizon website. Perhaps it varies.
Nope, $100 for the 3G 8GB now.
But my main point is - there's gotta be a better choice for casual use and carrying in your pocket. On the other hand, if it's free...
This is what I have:

It's got everything but WiFi and GPS, Symbian S60 smartphone, MicroSD card expansion, 2mpx camera with flash, 2" 320x240 screen, 369MHz processor... and it's small, light and lightning fast. I can't imagine getting something fancier any time soon. Yours looks twice as big with limited capabilities. I guess I'm just a smartphone nazi.
[ETM] what do you think of the HTC one I just posted?
Or how about this one....

The LG Dare.
When I have to buy a phone I just ask which one's cheapest and smallest.
I'm getting this one:

And this to carry it:

Headed to Fargo for a few days with work tomorrow.
Yeah, the HTC Touch Diamond is pretty cool, especially if there's a good deal on it... the only gripe is that it's Windows Mobile 6.1 dressed up in a neat new UI. It has pretty much anything you'll ever need, and more, feature wise, and it's built pretty damn well. I say go check it out and see how it feels.
Depends. Nowadays it is rare to find a cheap thin, small and light phone.
Except for the Motofone, of course.

It's my backup phone and it's pretty damn cool, and dirt cheap.
I've got this one

It's pretty small thin and light and was basically the cheapest phone on the market.
In my experience, all cheap Nokias are chubby.
Basically I want something with enough functionality and quality design that I won't be disappointed with its performance, but I also want something affordable and that isn't overkill for my needs.
Like I said earlier, I want one that's good for texting (full QWERTY keyboard is a must...I can't stand typing with digits), and that won't break up every 10 seconds if I get a call.
But I don't really plan on browsing the web, using FaceBook, any of that crap.
