I wish there could be cross-system multiplayer. Play "Modern Warfare 2" against PS3 owners as well.
I understand that opens up a whole new can of worms regarding fees, legalities, etc.
I can still wish...
Super Mario Galaxy really deserves to be on that list.
Along with Smash Bros. Brawl, Diablo II, and Shadow of the Colossus.
I own both and think the 360 is vastly inferior to PS3 in every way shape or form except for the online community, which isn't even an argument anymore since the PSN is rockin hard now... in 06 and 07 it was pretty dead aside from a select few games like Warhawk.
It boggles my mind how my friends dealt with replacing their xbox 3 or 4 times and still play the system....
For premium content. Online play will still be free, so I think for now we can safely say it's still better than XBox Live.

US, November 25, 2009 - Capcom has slipped IGN the info that Final Fight will be making a comeback in April of 2010. Dubbed Final Fight: Double Impact, this single digital download will contain both Final Fight and Magic Sword. Those with access to the Xbox Live Arcade or the PlayStation Store will have the opportunity to snag it. No pricing details have been announced as of this writing.
Both Final Fight and Magic Sword are old-school side-scroling beat-em-ups. Magic Sword puts players in the shoes of The Brave One in a fight against he forces of Drokmar. If you didn't already know or hadn't guessed, this is a fantasy-themed brawler. Final Fight, meanwhile, takes players along for a ride with the iconic Cody, Guy, and Haggar as they fight across six stages of Metro City against Mad Gear. Cody and Guy will also both be playable in Super Street Fighter IV.

This release will have two visual modes, one that will "make the games shine in crisp and clear HD glory," and another that allows players to use the original look. Both games will support leaderboards and online play with drop-in co-op allowing players to join a friend's game already in progress.
Final Fantasy XII was odd, i couldn't get into it but i've found it to be a great game while watching a friend play. Does it sound as wrong to you as it does to me?
If i'm not wrong, FFXIV online will allow PS3 players to meet PC gamers so, it must be more of a legal limitation.
I'd love to play some SF4/Blazblue matches against my xbox friends.
My friend Andy and I play Hardcore Team Deathmatch almost every night now, and man oh man, last night we had one of the most annoying players ever on our team.
Some guy called "theendofsilence" (with a clan tag in front of his name) who killed ANYONE HE SAW. That is, he killed teammates as much as (or more than) enemies.
He would get something like 45 kills total in a round, but his score would be more like 10 because of all the team-killing he did.
The worst part is, when I called him on it, he started whining like a little girl and saying stuff like "yeah well look at my score you fuckin' retard, I've got 10 and you've got 7, you fuckin' faggot".
Just for the record, i've chosen the PS3 over the 360 purely based on it's games, which is imo, the main reason anyone should pick a platform.
Sony's first and second party studios have more of a tradition in 3rd person action-adventure titles, my favorite genre. Even on it's earliest the system already had Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Folklore and Ratchet, i've purchased it around the launch of MGS4 and since then it keeps giving me happy action-adventure gaming in the shape of LBP, Valkyria Chronicles, Uncharted 2, Demon's Souls and i still need to catch up with inFamous and the new Ratchet, not to mention that i'm eagerly anticipating GOW3 and TRICO.
I've only mentioned exclusives of course, also had a great time with Dead Space, GTA4, Prince of Persia, Resident Evil... Even Devil May Cry 4 wasn't all bad :P can't wait to play other multiplatform action games like Bayonetta, Dante's Inferno, Darksiders and Castlevania.
It's been a good generation imo.
Ok, question for all you cutters.
November 30th is right around the corner, and that means the end of NaNoWriMo. I'm on pace to "win" (beat the 50000 words needed), and if I do, I've decided to reward myself with a game purchase.
I'd prefer it be available for PC, but if the game is good enough, I'll go for an XBOX 360 game as well.
I like RPGs, FPSs and Action Adventures (and already have Dragon Age).
Any recommendations?
Borderlands or Fallout 3
I'm a Nintendo fanboy, so I may be biased, but I cannot understand a "top" video game list of the 2000's that doesn't include Metroid: Prime and Resident Evil 4.
Also, Wii owners, consider Cursed Mountain for a rental. I'm only about an hour into it, and it's surprisingly eerie. The Himalayan setting gives the Resident Evil style a much-needed freshness.
That's good to hear about "Cursed Mountain", DaMU. The stuff I've seen looked very promising.
Honestly I just figured the reason "Metroid Prime" was left off that list is because not only is it the best game of the decade, but it's also the greatest game ever made, so it kind of goes without saying that it'd be #1.
