OK but we never actually SAW anything in the opening scene. Just flashes and quick cuts. I just assumed they were barbarians or some other woods tribe. It was just unexpected is all.

You didn't know that this series has dragons and wizards and shit?
Cut me some slack guys. This series is new to me. Hell TV is new to me. I haven't caught up with a series this fast since 24. (Walking Dead I watch live)
Well, anyway, this series has dragons and wizards and shit. And lots of zombies.
Ok then. I guess I'm going to like it even more than I thought I would.
Just saw my first dragon.

The actor that plays Joffrey is fantastic. I hate him so much.
Two episodes left! I was hoping there would be more resolution in season 2.
Yeah, I hear that. The second book was a slog. The third book, however, was my favorite by a wide margin. I have high hopes for the upcoming television season. I will say that the upcoming episode you're about to watch might be my favorite of the series so far.
Season 2 really was pretty stagnant in terms of plot.
The penultimate episode will solve that.
Just got around to this. First two episodes are really good stuff.
Yeah, I also wish the music would have been used for more dramatic effect in season 1.
My thoughts exactly! They missed a golden opportunity here to end the first season magnificently. I would have had the camera above the action looking down on the burning pyre with Daenerys looking up at the camera. Her dead husband's face in the frame surrounded by the three eggs that we see slowly cracking open and perhaps an eye peeking out. The ending as is was pretty anti-climactic.
I don't know, as a non reader I thought it was goddamn epic as is.
