I've taken to sleeping on my couch (which is almost a foot shorter than me) the last few nights. For some reason, I feel better rested and am rising easier. Weird.
I'm buying this on Friday:

An Alesis Micron.
Can't wait, it sounds amazing.
Anybody want to sign my petition to have "California Pizza Kitchen" change their name to something more appetizing, like "A Pile of Shit on Flatbread," or even, "Get Your Teeth Pulled Here"?
'Cuz, let's be straight here, saying that you're making pizza like they do in California is like saying you stick your dick into a blender. Anybody who's actually tried it knows that it's just not a good thing.
Mammalucco's in Fullerton, CA tells you f*ck off. It's as good as any of the pizza I've had in New York. Of course, it's owned by Italians originally from New York and all their ingredients are shipped from, but still, it's not impossible to find great pizza out here. Of course, now I live closer to LA and good pizza is scarce, but I still go there almost every time I visit my Orange Co. friends.
People who say 'zas can shampoo my crotch.
And Davis, my musician friend hooked me up with a full version of Reason and this little diddy:

Of course, I'm not, you know, a musician, but it's insanely fun just to play around and create beats, ambient textures, etc. It's quickly becoming an addictive hobby.
Pizza here in Chicago is plain awful. Years ago it was pretty good and so we got a good reputation for a while but everyone and their dog jumped on the pizza making bandwagon and now it's all crap. The main problem is that they put way way way too much oil on it so that the condiments float around like garbage in the Pacific. As for stuffed pizza, they hardly ever fully cook the dough and again they use so much oil that the dough is saturated with it. I was on Cape Cod earlier this summer and they had I guess what's called New York style pizza and it was all kinds of goodness.
