That is what we call an invitation for after hours office sex.

I've never been very shy, so I can't say for sure, but it sure seems to me like he likes you. If he didn't, he wouldn't be thinking of you when he noticed the job opening.
"Don't dip your pen in the company ink."
-- Roger Dodger
Yeah, to clarify, unless the job is a dream job for you or something, I'd pass on the offer. But keep dating him if you like him, because I'd be willing to bet he's into you.
I'd say he's into you, and I also agree that you should politely (VERY POLITELY) turn down the job offer.
As you turn it down, ask him what he's doing that weekend or what not.
Just remember, the male ego can be oh-so fragile.
I would say you'll think about it and offer to discuss it with him "over dinner," where you will politely decline it while sensing how "into you" he is and if the offer was a sign of creepiness or of social awkwardness and how you want to move forward with all this.
Shy guys do have a weird way of asking girls out, which is unfortunate.
Take the job and the man. If you're right for each other, it won't matter if you work together. If not, you at least you got a job out of it. Hedge your bets.
What happens when the guy turns out to be a creep and Mara doesn't like the job? Maybe he would expect something from her in return for the job. I don't know the guy so maybe all this is far-fetched, but honestly, it strikes me as a bit of an odd offer and I certainly wouldn't rush into acceptance. At the least sit on it until you know him better.
I doubt I'd get the job even if I applied for it, since it pays about three times my yearly salary.
I'm going to list the number of ways in which this guy is awesome in spoiler, so you can all avoid it if you wish.

Anyway, I think he's really cool. I'm not requiring him to fall in love with me, but I really want to continue to be friends with him.
This would be just my luck. I'm crippled by my own need to be polite, so I often get stuck in ugly situations.
Just for the record, I've known this guy since April, although we've only hung out twice, and had a few phone conversations and a couple of e-mails. And my brother-in-law has known him for fifteen years.
Curious: what was the play?
This second paragraph changes things quite a bit. If you have faith in your brother's taste in friends and acquaintances, then roll with the job and the relationship and see where it takes you. I hired Val and look where that got us! Though she was terrible at the job and was pretty much fired, but that's because I let her do whatever she wanted and just basically made out with her during every shift. But that's what I hired her for! :P
I just realized I've come to think Qrazy looks like his avatar.
It's a slow day at work...
A Sonnet for Spreadsheet
Oh spreadsheet, your body is made of lines,
You’re vertical, you are horizontal,
When you doll yourself up the gazer finds,
To his surprise, you are diagonal.
But I do not think that angles suit you,
They are contrary to your staid essence,
Angles are for harpies, whores, and sluts too,
You can’t arouse with your pale grid presence.
Forty hours per week I admire you, spreadsheet,
I fill the lonely cells of your body,
I put my soul in you from head to feet,
But what you give back is less than shoddy.
Run over my will with a quiet truck,
I’m completely wasting my life. Holy fuck.
Has anyone ever been reading something you completely agree with or find amusing on another site and thought to yourself "This deserves some rep" only to realize as you begin moving the mouse that only MatchCut has this now seemingly vital component of human interaction available to use? Not that I have. I'm just curious.
Most of the time I think that all of you look liker your avatars. And then I remember that its not the case. Whenever I see actual pictures of the people who post here in the photo thread I'm surprised about how they look and stuff. Its all kind of weird to me.
Sometimes. Heh.
