Nah, not so much. Depends on the calibre and what not, but a .357 or .44 magnum will take off the back of the guy's (or girl's) skull.
The shotgun deaths are more 'realistic'. Jaw bones and eye balls go a flying!
And if you think the gore level is too much, then don't take the bloody disgusting or whatever perk. You gain 5% damage, but the enemies really get fucked up. Limbs go a flying!
It's Official!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!

YES.
Dead Rising 2, right? It's about time.
Guys, I've started making games again (haven't worked on a game in six years). Been teaching myself Game Maker Language and I've nearly completed my first project, a ridiculously simple, one-room 2D platformer that I built from scratch. I'll be publishing it on my blog by week's end. I'd forgotten how awesome it is to write a game's story and mechanics, draw the pictures, design a level, and then actually maneuver through the thing.
That was my New Year's Resolution this year--to learn a new programming tool and create a game by the end of the year. This one I'm going to put out this week doesn't count, though, as it's kind of a glorified demo.
Still, fun!
destructoid posted a youtube link to the Mario Bros movie featurette. I've never watched the movie before but i'm kinda curious now.

Hey, has split screen multiplayer on shooters stopped being a something? Because I've been looking around reviews to see if there's a Timesplittersy game for PS3 and the only multiplayer I ever see mentioned is online, which I have no interest in.
I have lost almost all interest in online multiplayer.
And it's interesting that we're now losing local multiplayer that our resolutions can actually handle that kind of processor load better. Guess less people using the same copy equals more sales, theoretically, right?
Thanks! The game should be published on my blog on Friday and I'll put a note here about it when it is.
I think a while back you were going to send me some samples of your musical work (for a film project I had at the time) but I never did get those. I'd be very interested in hearing what you have to offer and possibly working on something together/using some of your work in an upcoming project.

I posted them there a while ago.
I am releasing all of my tunes and albums on my new website.
So far I've got 5 up there, with about 10 more to post.

So there are 5 full albums and samples to download, for free.
Just let me know if you like anything, or if you would like to work on something in the future. I'm totally down.
And I'm looking forward to checking out your game - I visited your blog yesterday, and it's got some great stuff on it.
Awesome! I'll be sure to check out your stuff when I get home from work tonight.
Thanks! I started daily blogging about five months ago and have found it a really refreshing creative exercise (and occasional severe headache).Quote:

This game I'm putting out by week's end (tentatively titled "About a Ball") is going to be pretty low-rent, but I have spent only all of about 10 days on it. But I mostly finished coding the engine and world/enemy objects a few days ago and am just having a blast arranging them. The game's pretty difficult (for me), and I'm enjoying being kind of evil with some of the challenges.
Splitscreen is not a thing of the past. There are plenty of people like me around, who loathe online multiplayer.
Davis, you still playing Titan Quest?
Speaking of multiplayer games...
