I am only saying this in reference to LaBute. He is a stage playwright who has happened to have success as a filmmaker. What defines him, what makes him notable are those darkly humorous dramas he writes. He does not have much of a stamp as a director I find. I would not say the same about Scorsese. LaBute is a case all to himself.Quote:

At my job, during the summer months (stretched out to between March and August), we have half-days on Fridays. We make up the hours with slightly increased time M-R, but Fridays we take off at noon. Since this is September, half-days were turned off, and our gluttonous, spoiled selves felt the pinch.
The higher-ups just reinstated the half-day Fridays....indefinately.....until we start abusing the system.

Its insanely boring at work right now. I'm supposedly done the end of December, and then I'll get my severance package.
Oh well, at least I'll start travelling again soon. The money is good, and its better then sitting around with your thumb up your ass.

I'm certainly not a fan of spouting out the "essential phrases that About.com says every employer wants to hear" and, as a writer applying for an editorial assistant position (whether it's in book publishing or at a magazine/newspaper), I'd like to think they admire candor over scripted dialogue. I've had the last 14 days off, but it's been hell. First I choose to catch a really bad cough and cold. That lasted about a week.
So I get over that, and this weekend I play one of my best soccer matches I ever played. Scored a wonderful goal and all. And this following practice session, I get a groin injury. This is pain. Really. Pain.
