I'm ordering Fallout 3.I'll probably pick up a second game, but can't decide between Gears of War 2 and Dead Space.
I'm leaning towards the latter. How do people around here feel about these two?

Just bought Skate 2, I have high expectations since the first one was spectacular.
Oh yeah. There wasn't a whole lotta challenge to it, but I agree with reviewers who said it was more about "the experience" than about the challenge.
Personally, I'm easily amused. Which is to say, I was having a whole lotta fun trying to get from point a to point b as quickly as possible, swinging, leaping, wall-running, alley-ooping and flying through the air. Once you get him going, it's pretty fun to watch.
And some of the fight combos are eye-poppingly awesome.
I've put the game down for now in favor of Zombie Whuppass, but I'll be picking it back up later with the intention of collecting as many of the lightseeds as I can.
If this was the first game in the series I bet I would have enjoyed it more. but having played the first three (and the original) I was expecting more freedom. Instead, i was constricted by the "rails" and prerendered fight scenes... i felt like I wasn't even playing the game. That said, I am getting 100% complete with my PS3 trophies and trading it on Goozex.
also, you guys shold play the FEAR 2 demo.

I am not very cutting-edge or cool.
But I am going to go play some Ocarina of Time, and you know what? I'm going to enjoy it.
Glad you got all the pieces together, Mara. It's a lovely game.
If you ever get the opportunity, you ought to play Majora's Mask or Wind Waker. The former can be had for the 64 for not too much money these days.
Of course, if you're good with just Ocarina forever, that's perfectly understandable/acceptable. :pritch:
So, I'm not a very experienced RPG-er, and I've gotten kind of stuck in Fallout 3. I've found and played a bunch of quests, but according to the trophies I haven't collected, there's still a ton more to be played. I could follow my father with Project Purity, but that seems like the beginning of the end, plus it seems to be a "good karma" sort of quest, and my character is very evil.
Anybody have any hints on how I could find other quests? I've tried wandering through the wasteland looking for more, but I've wandered into areas that were much too difficult for me. (Attacked by three giant radscorpians, I was dead in thirty seconds.)
I don't want to stop playing, this is one of the best games I've played in a really long time.
Actually, going to Project Purity will make you even more of a badass.
Other then that, I've wandered around a few places where you get radio transmissions, which will lead to more missions, or the Underground City with all the Ghouls. That's a fun one. Any other ones out there would be appreciated.
35+ hours and I beat it.
Fallout 3 is one of the few epic games that I actually finished, and I was slightly disappointed by the ending. I'm not sure if it's because I invested so much time, and loved the sidestories more than the main story itself, or if because it's wrapped up so quickly in the epilogue.
I look forward to the downloadable missions coming up.
I saved slightly before so that I can explore what I haven't seen yet, but I probably won't replay the game again.
Giant Bomb's article/interview about the upcoming Capcom game, "Dark Void".
Looks like it could be everything an "Iron Man" game should be.
Everytime I read about Fallout 3 here, there's an urge to go play the thing asap. All that talk about underground cities is really tantalizing. Then I start playing it and instantly become aggravated when a cockroach doesn't die after a few hits.
My brother really loves it though.
In other news, Braid producer Jonathan Blow is at work on a new game, supposedly a 2D RPG.
NFS: Most Wanted is starting to give me grief. I'm working on number 2 on the black list, but these cops are killing my ass.
