I acknowledge there might be a point there. ;)

Oh man. I'm not sure I could handle this thread if Mara was drunk.
she's not normally drunk? :|
Everyone should get drunk once in a while. Once....in a....while. Yes...
I have trouble writing polite business letters when I'm pissed off. They come out very sarcastic.
"Thank you for giving me the opportunity to respond to your idiotic complaint."
Had a potential roommate over today and liked her immensely. Want her to move in and wasn't sure how to convey that non-creepily, like without tackling her and screaming "PLEASE LIVE WITH MEEEEEE."
I hope she doesn't have stuff-- at least, not space-consuming stuff. My house is already cramped enough. My last roommate-- a lovely friend, bless her heart-- had too much freaking stuff. It was stressful.
Honestly, we just clicked well personality-wise. Spent the whole time laughing and telling each other stories. I think she will want to move in if she decides to leave DC and move to Baltimore, but I told her no hard feelings if she decides not to move and we should still hang out because we got along so well. We have a number of mutual friends who have apparently been talking me up (because I'm awesome) and she didn't mind the small inconveniences of my funny old house.
Top US Cities I haven't visited yet in my adulthood:
-Boston
-Austin
-Philadelphia
-Portland
-Miami
Think I'll need to take off a few on that list.
Called my ISP today to see if any faster options have come along. Been with them for a little over 2 years now, it's satellite internet and we get 5mb/s download speed...so it's not great.
They told me that yes, they have a package upgrading to 10mb/s. "Sign me up!" I said. Can't wait to play some games properly now!
They set it up.
I'm now running at 0.05mb/s
Thanks, guys!!
Ha. Work blocked Match Cut again. They've got my number.
Can someone explain to me in laymen's terms how a 3D printer works?
A 3D computer model of an object is divided into horizontal slices (the thinner the slice that can be printed on the printer, the more detail it can produce) which are then deposited, using several techniques and materials, one on top of the other, from the ground up. The layers fuse and harden, and the result is a threedimensional object.
I've had such a terrible week so far, many aggravations, and I can only look forward to lots of work left in the week. But when I saw this and remembered this moment, I laughed so hard I cried.

"Homer, have you been up all night eating cheese?"
[pitifully] "I think I'm blind."
I'm on a film set in Los Angeles with Mickey Sumner (Frances Ha), James Wolk (Mad Men), Cloris Leachman, and Judd Nelson.
There's a ton of crew running around working their asses off & I'm standing around with my hands in my pockets.
It's very interesting & extremely dull at the same time.
Cool. Low level film jobs have been the least thrilling work I've ever done (no big budget stuff, just supporting work for indies, student, and industrials). I think I'd thrive with more responsibility, but being an intern/assistant/gopher/whatever really decimates the appeal of filmwork for me.
