EDIT: Okay, I think I got it. When put through Google Translate as Chinese, the translation is strangely precise:
"Tianxue Wen painting and calligraphy collection"

I'm not sure how old the collection is and what it's worth, but apparently he was/is a famous Chinese painter, born in 1911.
