Every movie not directed by Sergio Leone should be under 2 hours.

Oh, I just meant me and Duke, knowing we both love them without many reservations. Obviously they have faults and people can like them much less.
Wow. So glad this is comes out in just a few months.
What's Ebert's old quote? "A good movie is never too long, a bad movie is never too short"? I almost always want the things I love to be longer. Sequels aside (and even then often with diminishing returns), you only get so much time in a movie's universe, why not want to live in it as long as possible?
Seems like all Marvel comic book movies are just over two hours? Hmm... should look that up.
Liking the appeal of Logan though. Hope it doesn't try to fit in too many characters.
The best description of runtime difference I can think of is:
- Insomnia, 95 minutes (Skjoldbjærg, 1997)
- Insomnia, 118 minutes (Nolan, 2002)
Same story, two films. The Norwegian version is lean and beautiful. The American contains ~30 minutes of bloat.
Pulp thrillers -- which these stories largely are -- should max out around 100 minutes. I think if they go longer, they're doing something wrong. (My suspicion is that the spate of big runtimes is an attempt to deliver more spectacle that justifies a premium ticket price, so as to compete with TV.)
The official poster ruined itself with a Baby Groot presence, so I'm posting the fan edit instead.

I don't get it.
Good poster. Haven't seen the original.
Relevant.

Spyder has some kind of marketing deal with Marvel to coincide with Homecoming? Brilliant.
That uniform is freaking awesome.
Badass.
Really hope Marvel can hit homeruns with their trilogy entries, because (cap aside) their sequels have been disappointing.
Cool pump up video.
Man, Tom Holland was 12 years old when this series started.
Weird to hear British accent and "mate" coming out of Spider-Man.
Stopped it halfway through; pre-hype interviews with blockbuster directors/producers/actors are down there with interviews with athletes when it comes to superfluous wankery.
So I guess GoTG 2 scored a perfect 100 from its audience at a test screening.
I'm already excited.
Don't know the history of that score enough to know what it really means, but at least it seems it wouldn't be a drop (much) from the first one which I really liked, so that's good.
