Got the Netflix Player in today, and it's like I started Netflix all over again. Adding movies to the instant queue for twenty minutes.
Another neat option is that it remembers where you left off movies, so you can start an episode of 30 Rock. Finish it. Go to another movie, watch some of it. Watch the next episode of 30 Rock. And then go back to resume the movie at the last frame you saw it at.
Neat. Love it. And it's incredibly simple.
End of advertisement.

I'm still of the mind that Blu-Rays are only really worth getting for movies that warrant that increase in quality, at least at this point when they are still quite expensive.
Casablanca can only look so good.

DID YOU KNOW... that mentally/developmentally disabled people (and those who care about them) find the use of the word "retarded" in that sorta sophomoric way of describing things (eg. "Love Guru looks so retarded") just as insulting/hurtful as, say, gay folks find the similar use of the word "gay"?
I know, I know, you're just joking around, you mean no harm by it, you're not being serious. Or at least that's your excuse. But that's nothing more than a copout; the reality of the situation is, to most people with mental challenges, retarded is a word that was used to bully them, insult them, hurt them, and as a result really hurts their feelings when they hear it. And they have a hard enough time without having to put up with that shit on top of it.
Besides, the truth is, the English Language is a rich and diverse one; you really shouldn't have any trouble finding something to replace the word retarded in your daily lexicon. Just find a thesaurus and away you go. Or make a word up! My personal replacement for retarded (up until a year ago, I was a serious offender, mind you) is a word my wife came up with: "rejective". It sounds just as childish, yet with 100% less of a chance of hurting someone! Try it yourself!
I can't remember the last time I used the word "retarded" in conversation. I pretty much only use it in its musical sense.

I used to be really good about not saying "retarded" in that sense, but I've slipped a lot in the last few years and haven't even given it any mind recently. I need to work on that again.

Last night I was playing pool, and there was one stripe and one solid left on the table (besides the 8 ball of course). I managed to knock both of them in with one shot, and then hit in the 8 ball for the win. I was more excited about doing that than actually winning.
What kind of pool is that, Madman, where it's a good thing to sink both kinds of balls with your shot?
