Quite possibly the greatest cover ever produced.

Been listening to this since yesterday. Fantastic.
2011: The year the sax solo was cool again.
Midnight City's is pretty excellent, but beyond that, the fact that even the most recent Katy Perry and Lady Gaga (hers by the late Clarence Clemons) mega-singles have pretty prominent ones show that they can even work commercially too.
A step back in the right direction of actual band instruments used in hit songs?
I've been listening to a lot of post-rock, stuff from this tape I got called The Year Punk Broke, and Dinosaur jr.

I'm going through all of Ratatat's albums. They blow my brains out the back of my head.
Yeah, when I first heard them I wasn't that into them. I liked a track or two off of the first album but it didn't grab me per se. Now I'm not sure what shifted but I can't get enough of their sound. Where in the past many of their tracks sounded like any other I now experience a more nuanced soundscape that feeds back into the totality of their work. I would say their best album is probably Classics though, you might give that a shot. They're also very good live.

Surely the best actor/actress-involved musical project ever.
Yet another reason disliking Gosling is inexplicable. Saw them play at a festival last summer and they were a ton of fun. They had about 25 kids all costumed up on stage with them singing the choruses. It was a nice surprise since I hadn't heard of them before that.
i prefer their remix mixtapes to any of their albums
plus the remix of "we share our mother's health" they did is pretty killer
