Yep. It's very fast-paced, and there's no way you can do it all on your own, you need your partners to get through it all.
There's also a mode in the full game where you can be the zombies and attack after the survivors. 8 player match cut mode!

Here's a cool video of the versus mode and some gameplay of the hunter and tank.
Tekken > any other fighting game ever
Yeah, I'm a big fan too. While many complain that it's too button-masher friendly - and their are characters in the game that promote this style of game play - there are plenty of characters that really pay off from practiced, skilled gameplay. Lei Wulong & Yoshimitsu come to mind.
God, I have me some fond memories playing Tekken Tag Tournament when it came out at PS2 launch. I played the ever lovin' crap outa that game.
Clay Fighter had perhaps my favorite character in a fighting game ever - Blue Swede Goo, the clay Elvis impersonator. I really sucked at him tho, cuz it was hard not to laugh my ass off while playing as him, particularly at the way he would go "uh-huh!" every time he would jump.
I've seen too many Tekken matches in which a complete noob beat a skilled player simply by button mashing. It's fun, but I don't like fighting games like this. A button-masher in SF will rarely, if ever, win against a skilled player. For button-mashy 3D fighters, I prefer Rival Schools because of how over the top insane it is.
This is gonna shock a lotta people, but as much as I've loved Valve to this point, I kinda have to agree w/ Meg.
I didn't hate it as much as he did, but the entire experience left me indifferent. Over the top is one thing, but at times I felt like I was being zerged. And no, you're right, the graphics aren't the only thing - but the textures were so bland, I wondered if I had my graphics settings turned down.
Maybe I will like it better on co-op, but it was a little out there for my tastes, action wise.
I forget. Does anyone else here love JRPGs?
I played Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World more than I did anything else (sleep came close but didn't surpass it) this weekend.
I don't mind an occasional Final Fantasy game, but that's about it. My hardcore love for the genre died after FF3 (US), although I did also like Wild Arms and FFVII. I don't really like the Tales games at all. I bought the one on the GC and played a few hours of it before giving up (I also played some on the PS1). Just not my bag any more. I'm really tired of Japanese design aesthetics in games right now.
I feel like I've kind of out grown them. Or I've changed, and they've remained the same.
Mother 3 is probably the last (and best) JRPG I'll ever play. I used to love them, but now, aside from nostalgic purposes (and Mother 3), I just see them as massive, mostly unrewarding time-sinks. I'd rather play a puzzle game. Or Bangai-O Spirits. Something with crunch. Not "press X until you win".
How in the name of Dagon did IGN give the graphics of "Left 4 Dead" a 9?
Are they like, contractually obliged to give Valve a handjob?
Oh and Jeff Gerstmann gave "MK vs. DCU" 5/5.
That was unexpected.
I don't know much about Left 4 Dead, but if there's anything meg doesn't have to do, it's getting over his opinion. That's the worst kind of Internet-speak.
Apology not accepted.
