Far Cry 2 is probably the most addicting game I've ever played. I've finished it twice and it takes like 40 hours to play not including reloads. It's very "consolish" and bit simpler compared to PC FPS games but if you're looking for a pure FPS without the extra baggage of story this is the game for you.

It works well in "Fallout 3" because its gameplay requires you to constantly be keeping track of your inventory, condition, etc. It's an RPG, not an action game.
In a fast-paced action game like "Far Cry 2", I imagine that would get annoying really, really fast.
There's very little RPG elements. For the weapons you just pick up a new one periodically at one of the weapon shops. Vehicles only "overheat" when they take damage. That's about the extent of the complexity.Quote:

I've only played Dead Space and Fallout 3 out of those 3 games. Both are great in their own right, but I would go with Fallout 3. Fallout 3 will last you way longer. It's a really deep, huge and varied game that will give you tons of hours of gameplay just like Oblivion. I think you'll love it, but don't approach it as an FPS. It is still very much a RPG. I've put about 70 hours in the game and am nowhere near done. :)
Dead Space was pretty cool, but very short compared to Fallout. I beat it in about 12 hours. I would just rent this one or buy it when it's a lower price.
I would go with Dead Space, so you can invite me over and I can play it.

The game lacks in the AI, both allies and enemy... IT's awful, probably the worst AI i've seen in a game. Enemies know exactly where you are (like RFOM) but now they run straight at you, with your allies doing nothing to help kill them. The game is hard... even on easy and normal.
Overall, the game feels unfinished and lazy with lots of little bugs and annoyances. People running in place, allies walking on top of each other, elevators and doors opening automatically for you as you advance through the linear story... when you cut off zombie arms, the models will swipe at you with the same invisible arm you just cut off... The list goes on. I'm writing a review right now... It'll be up in a few days.

I just picked up Metroid Prime Corruption for mah Wii. First official purchased game.
It looks better than the others, but I wish Nintendo had gone ahead and beefed up the graphics on Wii a bit more. Thank God the Wiimote makes things so much more fun. It's weird, but turning valves, activating codes, and wrangling enemies really puts you inside the universe.
