Man.
That blows. Oh well, good for those guys.
I still miss Jeff Green.

Last night, I sat down in front of the TV, and my wife made me as a golfer in Tiger Woods 09. It looks so much like me, it's sorta disturbing.
Jeff Green and Shawn Elliot. Damn. The enthusiast press just lost two of its most intelligent and talented writers. Their absence will definitely be felt.
So Sean Elliot is not leaving 1Up - his blog was just a joke.
This was the last episode of GFW though. I hope those guys do another podcast.
Downloaded a demo for Pure last night - fun game! It's kinda like Freekstyle, but replace the nu-metal with Billy Squire and the suck with awesome. I might need to pick it up once it hits the cheap rack.
How do you know that?
He said in the last podcast that he is leaving (he first says it was a joke about 3 minutes in, but later confirms he is leaving) and will be working on the new Spiderman game from 2K Boston under Ken Levine. Also, Skip and Jeff Green already have posted on their blogs about this.
From the one track I've played, yeah, that comparison is fair. Specifically, it's like SSX3 on ATVs - wicked air, controls that are easy to pick up (I was pulling some tricks after about 10 minutes), and some pretty crazy tricks, tho not the variety of tricks you would see in SSX. It makes up for that, tho, with some pretty awesome wipeouts, hehe, and lets not forget, Billy Squire.
Mr. Davis, Stone Roses's Love Spreads is coming to Rock Band next Tuesday!
Just downloaded Braid on XBL and played the first two worlds. It's just brilliant! Worth every penny.
My roommate is trying out gamefly.
First game: Condemned.
Mega Man 9 came out today!!
Wipeout HD is coming out this Thursday on the PS3...
Okay, Mega Man 9 is freaking awesome. So awesome, I felt the need to write a rambling 1,000 word blog post about why I believe this is a brilliant choice both for Mega Man and for video games, explain a bit of my personal history with one of my favorite video game series, and use a lofty headline that I didn't really address as well as I should have. But you don't have to read it. I played it for two hours tonight, only beat one of the bosses, and can't get to the checkpoint in half the stages. Not yet, anyway. I have the first six games in the series pretty much imprinted in my memory, so I'm pretty much experiencing something awesome I haven't had in the last ten years.

MM9 is coming to the PS3 also. Everyone with a current-gen console can get on this awesome action.
Though there's something simply wonderful about playing it on Nintendo's machine, with the 1 and 2 buttons and the classic D-pad.
